Forty U.S. states do not have enough money to pay all their bills primarily due to significant unfunded pensions or Other-Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB). Truth in Accounting (TIA), a nonpartisan, not-for-profit has been monitoring the financial health of states for a decade in order to educate taxpayers about the financial health of their states today released its tenth annual Financial State of the States.

Your Pension Is a Lie: There’s $210 Trillion Of Liabilities Our Government Can’t Fulfill
So what do the experts suggest?
Move to Belize.
How about Texas not give big business every tax break in the book and then some.
Eastern Europe. I hear all the women look like Melania:)
The government’s ability to tax us peasants is at the root of what has become a Ponzi Scheme. And like all Ponzi Schemes, eventually, they collapse.
The ones run by governments last longer than the others, because they can throw you in prison or kill you if you don’t play along.
LOL
Socialism Is Legal Plunder

DEFUND socialist collectives, foreign and domestic. DISMANTLE/DESTROY (as necessary)
22+ trillion worth of evidence. (when parasite Biden came to CONgre$$ in 1973 it was well under 1 trillion)
I’ve heard that the total value of all the houses in America is about $30 trillion. And the total value of all the stocks on the New York Stock Exchange is about $34 billion.
Even if you could somehow confiscate all this wealth from these sources, and use it to pay off pensions, it doesn’t come anywhere near what is needed to ever fully fund these pensions.
Someone, somewhere, is going to take a big financial haircut.
Of the 25 worst states as far as unfunded pension obligations is concerned, 18 of those states have been controlled by the Democrats for decades.
No surprises.
So not sure how this works out with loosing 50-60% of workers due to age, no birth rates, and eventually automation.
Guess if we go to space and snag one of those planets made of diamonds its all paid of in a jiffy..

Little diversity, monochromatic
Lots of trees, mountains, hills, lakes and streams. No room for stores.
Its really easy to buy a gun.
Prices for housing are too low.
Food is cheap.
Most of the people are patriotic. Whats worse, theyre honest.
Theres no income tax, so I dont think the state will improve much.
Those TVA lakes are just miserable
Dolly Parton music is high art
The Smokies are crawling with damn Yankees and tourists from Floriduh
Towns like Oak Ridge are just intellectual wastelands
color Orange is everywhere
Save yourself, stay away
I live here, and Im an asshole.
those states create liabilities to extort money from the other states in the union
pure mafioso....
“And the total value of all the stocks on the New York Stock Exchange is about $34 billion.”
The market value of U.S. stocks in all exchanges (not just the NYSE) is about $34 *trillion*
Tennessee... no state income tax, conservative except for Nashville and Memphis. Nashville may come around now that we got ride of the super liberal mayors Barry and Briley. They wanted to make Nashville a sanctuary city and paint the sidewalks in rainbow colors. The new mayor is a democrat but does not seem to be crazy liberal.
"American retirees in Mexico say their life savings tripled while in a Mexican bank"
Si señor...😁👍
It should be noted that government pensions are not backed by the US Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.
Thanks for correction, yes it’s $34 trillion.
Even with that many trillions subject to wealth taxes if Democrats had their way, there is nowhere near enough wealth to cover these financial obligations.
If pension obligations are north of $200 trillion, Social Security/Medicare north of $50 trillion from what I’ve heard, the national debt is about $22 trillion, geez Louise. A few trillion here and a few trillion there, this starts to add up.
