Dont move to E. Tenn. Youll hate it here
Little diversity, monochromatic
Lots of trees, mountains, hills, lakes and streams. No room for stores.
Its really easy to buy a gun.
Prices for housing are too low.
Food is cheap.
Most of the people are patriotic. Whats worse, theyre honest.
Theres no income tax, so I dont think the state will improve much.
Those TVA lakes are just miserable
Dolly Parton music is high art
The Smokies are crawling with damn Yankees and tourists from Floriduh
Towns like Oak Ridge are just intellectual wastelands
color Orange is everywhere
Save yourself, stay away
I live here, and Im an asshole.
I'm planning to move to E. Tennessee next July. I've been living in Massachusetts for some 45 years.
So I guess I'm going to move up the ladder from Masshole to asshole.
(I'm a patriot too.)
“Dont move to E. Tenn. Youll hate it here”
You have the same problem Texas has, just not as advanced. Just as hipsters moved to Austin, growing it like a cancer that will eat Texas, Nashville is becoming a man-bun hipster hub. When I was up there last year, the area around Vanderbilt was like being in Berkeley. I mean how OPEN all the leftism was. And it’s growing, eating Nashville. Once you own the big cities in the state, you own the state. Again, look at Texas and Georgia.
Seriously considering moving there. There is no hope for Illinois.
Stay away from all the large cities and counties, they are DEM run. Thus failures.
I live in little Atoka, TN. When we moved here car ins dropped like a rock, house ins went down due to it being a starter home 2 Seniors can take care of. Property Taxes lower. Crime is Lower. But still not low enough I’d want to go with out my gun.
Jobs are fast food, nails, and Kroger’s being the biggest business in the area. What we lack are Doctors. Have to go into Memphis for that. No hospital either, the 3 nearest ones are not fit to take your dog to.
LEO actually respond to a 911 call in a few minutes, unlike the 30 min. Memphis Takes.
Schools are better too. But they get less money from State and Feds. We don’t have any big attractions to support either.
