They are also targetting Barr to get him removed from the trail. Just like Biden got the Ukraine prosecutor fired. I do believe Trump took too long to act. Should have fired Sessions long long time ago. As soon as he recused he should have fired him for being incompetent.

I think Rudy probably located the server, but didn’t take physical control of it. He passed the information on to Barr and the DOJ will physically take the computer. This eliminates a messy chain of custody issue.

I’m betting the Solicitor-General of the Ukraine grabbed the server early in the corruption investigation and it has been sitting under lock and key somewhere.

Rudy can verify the existence/location of the server without tipping the information to the Deep State. This is going to blow-up rather quickly which is why the Democrats are trying to control the news cycle.

It also explains in a roundabout way why the Democrats jumped on impeachment before seeing the transcript because they thought the transcript contained things like the location and didn’t expect POTUS to declas and release the transcript.

So they jumped on impeachment with the story that POTUS was pressuring Ukraine to get after Biden and Schiff did the ridiculous shake down reading as if it was fact thinking it would stick in a vacuum.

POTUS was smart not to bring up the location of the server in the call with the Ukrainian President.

I am REALLY hoping Barr is a straight-shooter.

Having worked with a Federal Task Force before, I know things don’t move as quickly as they do at the state level.

I would bet Durham already has interviews with the “overseas” players which would get him search warrants for bank records, cell phone records, and pin registers. In all likelihood, he may have wiretaps of some of the players like Brennan, Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Orr, and others. Usually, the Feds don’t arrest the players piecemeal, they usually try and round all of them up at the same time to ensure hard evidence isn’t destroyed.

I’m not concerned that it is taking this long, I go by the theory the longer the investigation the more charges will be forth coming. The last major investigation (drug-related) I worked at the Task Force level took over a year. But, like dominoes, the arrests came fast and furious.

Mifsud could be a “DOUBLE AGENT”, working for the CIA and the Soviets/Russians (same ops). Not unheard of in the past and a very effective tactic to throw off counter-intelligence investigations. Worked for Ames, Aldrich, Hansen, the Cuban woman spy and others.

The Wash. Post has always served as a Soviet disinformation platform, from Vietnam to Nicaragua and El Salvador specifically.

Suspected Soviet/Cuban assets among WP writers included Tad Szulc (his daughter was a red - in NACLA), Lawrence Stern (almost 100% positive he was a Soviet agent according to my late friends who ran Latin American counter-intelligence operations, and Karen DeYoung (Sandinista disinformation writer during the 1980s and now one or the top foreign news editors for the WP).

This later became the espionage and counter-intelligence branch of the Central Intelligence Agency. . .Wisner also established Operation Mockingbird, a program to influence the American media. Wisner persuaded Philip Graham (Washington Post) to run the project within the industry. Graham himself recruited others who had worked for military intelligence during the war. This included James Truitt, Russell Wiggins, Phil Geyelin, John Hayes and Alan Barth. Others like Stewart Alsop, Joseph Alsop and James Reston, were recruited from within the Georgetown Set. According to Deborah Davis (Katharine the Great): "By the early 1950s, Wisner 'owned' respected members of the New York Times, Newsweek, CBS and other communications vehicles." J. Edgar Hoover became jealous of the CIA's growing power. He described the OPC as "Wisner's gang of weirdos" and began carrying out investigations into their past. It did not take him long to discover that some of them had been active in left-wing politics in the 1930s. This information was passed to who started making attacks on members of the OPC. Hoover also gave McCarthy details of an affair that Frank Wisner had with Princess Caradja in Romania during the war. Hoover, claimed that Caradja was a Soviet agent. Another members of the Georgetown Set, including Dean Acheson, George Kennan,, and Chip Bohlen, were also targeted. Joseph McCarthy also began accusing other senior members of the CIA as being security risks. McCarthy claimed that the CIA was a "sinkhole of communists" and claimed he intended to root out a hundred of them. One of his first targets was Cord Meyer, who was still working for Operation Mockingbird. In August, 1953, Richard Helms, Wisner's deputy at the OPC, told Meyer that Joseph McCarthy had accused him of being a communist. The Federal Bureau of Investigation added to the smear by announcing it was unwilling to give Meyer "security clearance". However, the FBI refused to explain what evidence they had against Meyer. Allen W. Dulles and both came to his defence and refused to permit a FBI interrogation of Meyer. Joseph McCarthy did not realise what he was taking on. Wisner unleashed Mockingbird on McCarthy. Drew Pearson, Joe Alsop, Jack Anderson, Walter Lippmann and Ed Murrow all went into attack mode and McCarthy was permanently damaged by the press coverage orchestrated by Wisner. . .": The Georgetown Set

PS on that: the Georgetown set members weren’t all “passionate anti-communists”, just temporarily anti-Soviet after the Truman administration became disillusioned with Stalin, a distinction often overlooked in literature on this. As noted, many had been active left-wingers in the 1930s, and they reverted to that orientiation when it came to issues like opposing McCarthy and pushing for the restoration of State Department commies like Alger Hiss.
