Ryan, who joined the Fox Corporation board in March, is now reportedly one of the most important voices pushing Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch to transition Fox New and pivot away from Trump, according to Vanity Fair.
"Paul is embarrassed about Trump and now he has the power to do something about it," a Fox executive told Vanity Fair.
Ryan has been openly critical of Trump ever since leaving Congress. In several on-the-record interviews for Politico correspondent Tim Alberta's book "American Carnage," Ryan didn't mince words about Trump.
"I told myself I gotta have a relationship with this guy to help him get his mind right," Ryan told Alberta. "Because, I'm telling you, he didn't know anything about government ... I wanted to scold him all the time."

Paul Ryan just jumped to being a top candidate for one of the “spies” Trump mentioned that likely leaked info about the Ukraine phone call. He’s no longer in congress, but might still have influence with congressmembers and with cabinet-level workers and intelligence level workers.

In the fall of 2018, I was telling folks that Ryan and McConnell were dirty. It didn’t sit well with some folks.
Some thought it was hyperbole. Well guess what. It wasn’t.
Ryan and McConnell are chin deep in the Deep State.
They are just fine with Trump being thrown out of office.
Ryan will do his best to turn FoxNews even more away from Trump. McConnell is now on record saying he’ll hold a trial in the U. S. Senate.
Does he realize the evidence won’t matter. People will vote mostly party line, and guys like Romney, and other RINOs, God only knows.
Dole didn’t hold a trial for Clinton, but Mitch says it’s his duty.

Romney couldn’t win Wisconsin with Paul Ryan on the ticket as his running mate. I’m sure that’s a major factor in Ryan’s resentment of Trump.
Doesn’t surprise me. Thankfully I stopped watching Fox News quite some time ago.
