I.had a friend who tried to off himself....by too much prescribed fentanyl. The last person to see him...20 minutes before he was sent on an errand...was his main beneficiary...this was at patients house...what are the coroners and cops gonna say? Could look like opportunistic homicide.

2277 Whatever its motives and means, direct euthanasia consists in putting an end to the lives of handicapped, sick, or dying persons. It is morally unacceptable.
Thus an act or omission which, of itself or by intention, causes death in order to eliminate suffering constitutes a murder gravely contrary to the dignity of the human person and to the respect due to the living God, his Creator. The error of judgment into which one can fall in good faith does not change the nature of this murderous act, which must always be forbidden and excluded.

I agree. So, tell that to the feds. Their war on drugs means that chronic pain patients can’t get access to opioids and are committing suicides at increasing rates. But it’s great for the cartels, agents, banks and pols.
But we should expect this. Government specializes in misery and death for its subjects.
After watching our son suffer the last months of cancer, I can almost understand this.
Not for actual euthanasia but for dosing pain killers in high enough doses to overcome the bodies natural struggles and let them die in the relative peace. He begged his Mom to OD him and she couldn’t but she did up his pain killers enough to give him some more interludes from the agony.
Those who haven’t been there first-hand have their platitudes to offer...out of ignorance.
