Drivers can go inside and sit in an automated convenience store with screens that allow drivers to track their vehicle’s charging progress.

The convenience store is where the real profit is.

Well, then, it’s not a GAS station anymore is it?

Let’s see....it takes about 5 hours to charge a prius prime on 110/120 volts; 2 1/2 hours on 240 to go abut 29 miles on electric alone before the hybrid motor kicks in. That’s a lot of people hanging around.....just waiting. Will he be adding a restaurant, a movie theater to keep them occupied? I don’t see a bright future for this venture.

Some hotel rooms above the station would let folks sleep overnight and get a really good charge.

Plus, the added revenue from the hotel room. Maybe he could offer room service, too. Late-night microwave burritos, candy bars, chips and a Slushy.

Honestly, putting those charging stations near malls, hotels, restaurants, churches, schools, gyms, places of employment, grocery stores, etc would be a much better idea.

People need to charge them while they are busy doing something else. Simply going to a charging station and spending several boring, unproductive hours sitting around waiting for your car to charge is NOT most people’s idea of a good time.

Darn it. I was hoping to move there and concealed-carry some B-83’s, too. There goes my whole 5-year plan.

Try a W-80. Smaller in size so they may never notice you carrying.

I was thinking of a MIRV platform with a bunch of W-87’s on a D5 missile.

You know, just in case there’s a group of teens looking for $1 and not taking “I’m broke” for an answer.

If I wear baggy pants I think I can hide the D5.

The hard part is programming the targets and getting away fast enough after launch.

What is also not mentioned here, is how much does the electricity cost the driver, to recharge the car? Is it comparable to the cost of gasoline as a fuel? More?

Efficient electric cars like the leaf get about 5 miles per kWh. There are charging losses so consider 4 miles per kWH or 3 cents a mile with electricity at 12 cents / kWh. Meanwhile a 30 mpg car will cost 8 cents a mile at current gas prices.

Here’s my idea. A charging station, whore house, laundromat, and car wash. Get charged, drop your load, wash your clothes, and clean up your stuff you weren’t wearing. Put it next to a Burger King cause you had it your way and didn’t waste time.

If it's near I-95 it just *might* pay off.Otherwise...stupid move.

Takoma Park is very near the intersection of I-95 and I-495, the Capitol Beltway. So yes, this is a very high volume traffic location.

Hillary probably has a Russian suitcase nuke that she bought with Uranium One money.

BTW, speaking of suitcase nukes...wonder what Alexander Lebed had on Hillary back then?

Oh man, I went FULL tinfoil on that one!! (hey at least I admit it on this one)

The Liberals of the world reject the God of Israel and His Son. So they make up their own religion, their own piety and hence, their own messiahs.

They believe they’re doing penance by elevating a 16-year-old paid operative to lecture them on their failed Gaia worship.

In order to make it pay,it looks like you would have to make more than you were previously making selling gas.

How does he determine what to charge for a charge?

Does he have a coffee shop library for the interminable wait?

Or some of those sleeping cubes like the Japanese have at airports and train stations?
