How long does it take to charge a car? I’m in a gas station for a total of 15 min if I need to take a bio-break and get some food. 5 min if I’m just gassing up. I thought it took hours to fully charge a car? Maybe they need to had a full blown sit down restaurant and spa too?

What will they do when they shut down the last power plant? Starve.

Similarly, there will be huge recharging stations, with row after row, after row of charging available. Away from cities, where land is much cheaper.
In the distance you will see a natural gas power station supplying the electricity ... you will not see a wind farm or a solar mirror farm - if you do you will know that 10s of thousands of acres of otherwise productive farmland was taken out of production of food. You will then understand why food prices have quadrupled with a loaf of he cheapest bread costing $25 ... cheap hamburger, if still legal, will cost over $100 lb.

Well at least this liberal is putting his livelihood where his mouth is. Let's see how he does. ha ha haNot really so much. I suspect he'll be enjoying this little gift from the taxpayers of Maryland for a while...
The gas station conversion was jointly funded by the Electric Vehicle Institute and the Maryland Energy Administration, which provided a grant of $786,000.

Takoma Park is not near I-95, TP is a lefty/sanctuary town. Well, it's about 4 miles south.
I got married in Takoma Park, but that was 40 years ago when it was less nutsy.

An 11kW public charger would fully recharge the car in 3.6 hours, while a 22kW unit would do so in less than two hours. A 50kW rapid charger would charge a car like the Nissan Leaf in 48 minutes.
Often the idea with public charging stations is not to fully recharge an electric vehicle, but to give it enough juice to make the trip home or to the next stopover.

FTA: including clauses that extend contracts when a certain volume of sales is not met
In the old Hollywood the actors were tied to contracts that were never ending if the studio so wished. It took some big stars to break them.

So how long does it take to charge up a car? For rapid DC charging it depends on both the charging system in the car and the charging station. The one mentioned in the article will provide a Chevy Bolt about 90 miles of range for a 30 minute charge. Tesla supercharging is considerably faster with ideal conditions at the charging station.

The station will feature four dispensers that connect to a high-powered, 200kW
system. The system will allow four vehicles to charge simultaneously and reach
80% battery charge in 20 to 30 minutes. Drivers can go inside and sit in
an automated convenience store with screens that allow drivers to track
their vehicles charging progress.
***********
The profit if any comes will be from the sales inside the convenience store and its products.

And it had an AM radio and the stations faded out for long stretches. I had just finished the MI basic course and was enroute to the 1st Cav Div back then.
