You’re missing the point. The fact is they weren’t successful in ending the prosecution until VP Biden got the original prosecutor fired and replaced by a more “sympathetic” prosecutor.

President Donald Trump has well over 60,000,000 followers on Twitter. That’s a lot of eyeballs.
For comparison Sean Hannity might get 3,500,000 on a good night. MSNBC maybe 2,500,000. CNN well less than 2,000,000.
The Bully Pulpit is well named and Trump is exactly the right guy at the right time to use it’s power.
