he OK hand gesture and the bowlcut hairstyle are among 36 new entries to the Anti-Defamation League’s online listing of hate symbols.
The new entries include white supremacist symbols adopted in recent years by the alt-right segment of the white supremacist movement.
The OK gesture began as a hoax but became a symbol of white supremacy, according to the ADL. It was flashed in court by the man accused of killing 51 people at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2019. The bowlcut is associated with Dylann Roof, who was convicted of killing nine African-Americans at a church in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2015.

A jewish person raping and murdering a 13 year old girl is hardly anti Semitic. No one said every Jew does that.
My absolute favorite was the one where Curly dressed up like an opera prima donna and lip-synch-ed to a recording. Then when the bad guy came up to sing, he kept spitting cherries down his throat and “nyuknyuknyuk”ing in his prima donna disguise. Unbelievable belly laugh funny.
I’ve read all this before. The evidence points to Leo most likely being guilty. Sure 100 years later with no direct evidence it’s hard to say either way but I think the jury made the right choice.

So a witness’ family hushing him up and the town lynching him WAS anti-Semitic, because they wanted to get rid of the “Christ killer” more than they wanted to keep “those nigras” in “their place,” which is saying a lot. The janitor went un-punished, I assume.

In South America the symbol means the person on the receiving end is gay. It is considered a nasty gesture.
I always got a kick out of using it just to watch the reaction.

The KKK was EXTREMELY active back then, all over the South and Mid-West. They and the local ministers ratcheted up the anti-Frank/Semitism feeling, so did some of the local press. It was a "feeding frenzy" akin to the Kavanaugh hysterics; perhaps worse!
