Yahoo Noose, Associated Presstitutes ^ | September 22, 2019 | JAKE BLEIBERG

Last September, a white police officer shot and killed an unarmed black man in his own apartment. That much is settled.

But nearly every other aspect Amber Guyger's murder trial for the killing of Botham Jean remains cloaked in controversy as opening statements in the case are set to start Monday.

For some, the shooting was a tragic accident with circumstances that can only be described as "very unique." Others place it in pattern of white officers killing black men that, they say, points to systemic problems in American policing.

It was a series of errors which resulted in his murder and I can understand why but in the end she still murdered an innocent man. Race probably had nothing to do with it.

To sensationalize. To tilt public opinion one way or the other. To inflame emotions. Because the reporter[s] are sorry bastards.

Look... this man was at the right place at the right time... and got shot for it. Police officers receive very intensive (and expensive) training so they don’t fire their weapons nilly willy whenever they are “scared.” If this woman is found guilty... then she deserves to go to jail, no matter the color of anyone’s skin.

It could happen to anyone.

After a long day of work, you get confused, forget where you live, walk into the wrong home and start blasting away at an Intruder who is in his own home.

It’s the Whoops, I’m in the Wrong Castle Doctrine.

Race probably had nothing to do with it.

I agree; I think the same result would have ensued if the victim had been white. From my perspective her fault was in thinking she had an obligation to take down a person she thought was illegally in her apartment, when she ought to have backed off, assessed the situation, and called for assistance. At the very least she has no business being a cop.

Police are also supposed to pass a psyche eval. It's a requirement.

Still according the the psychologist who is in charge of all of California's prisons' mental care, fully half the candidates who failed their psych eval were ultimately hired as cops or prison guards.

The person who approved or forced their hiring should personally be sued for any harm the sociopath they gave a badge and gun does.

It's no more reasonable to give a man who "has really strong sadistic tendencies and fantasies of rape and murder" authority over any woman driving down the street than to throw an enraged rattlesnake into a kindergarten!

I understand your argument but I’m not certain this female police officer was evil. I’ll leave that to the experts and the jury to figure out.

I seem to recall the female police officer returned “home” after a night at the bar drinking with friends. Which suggests she was intoxicated, entered the wrong apartment and shot the man who she drunkenly thought was in her apartment, as self defense.

There are other ways to fail the evaluation, if someone is 'jumpy' and has poor impulse control, for example. Evil, to use that word practically banned from the English language, is just one criteria for failing.

Dr. Clarissa Cole: "It’s not like the bar is so darned high that no one could pass, it’s nothing LIKE that, this test is just to find out is this person basically psychologically stable, are they non-sadistic, do they not have criminal or punishing tendencies or narcissistic tendencies themselves. Basically you’re trying to weed out anybody that has a like God complex; I’m judge, jury, and executioner. You want to get those people out of there. You’re trying to get people out of there that are just psychiatrically so unstable that they can’t control their emotions so, maybe some sort of bipolar thing going on or somebody that absolutely clearly has a personality disorder, like narcissistic personality disorder, antisocial personality disorder, borderline personality disorder. "

Murder implies intent. Ii might turn out to be manslaughter.
