Iran issues 'battlefield' warning as tensions escalate with arch-rival US

Any country that attacks Iran will become the "main battlefield", the Revolutionary Guards warned Saturday after Washington ordered reinforcements to the Gulf following attacks on Saudi oil installations it blames on Tehran.

Tensions escalated between arch-foes Iran and the United States after last weekend's attacks on Saudi energy giant Aramco's Abqaiq processing plant and Khurais oilfield halved the kingdom's oil output.

Yemen's Huthi rebels have claimed responsibility for the strikes but the US says it has concluded the attacks involved cruise missiles from Iran and amounted to "an act of war".

Washington approved the deployment of troops to Saudi Arabia at "the kingdom's request," Defence Secretary Mark Esper said, noting the forces would be "defensive in nature" and focused on air and missile defence.

But Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Major General Hossein Salami said Iran was "ready for any type of scenario".

"Whoever wants their land to become the main battlefield, go ahead," he told a news conference in Tehran.

I wonder if the US electric grid is vulnerable to attack. So many US citizens have gotten fat, lazy, and wouldn't last more than a few days if power and food/water went down. The countries we bully around, in contrast, have populations that are accustomed to hardship.

There are forces that don't want peace. I do wish everyone would stand shoulder-to-shoulder, across the political spectrum, and reject them.

Iran could suicide attack two USN vessels in the gulf simultaneous with cruise missile attacks on Kuwait, UAE and Saud...while also undertaking terror on US soil.

ANY US President would be at war then.

Personally, I don’t think Iran wants suicide. I think they want international pressure on the US to end sanctions. That’s why they hold out the threat of grand violence, augmented by petite violence and demonstration of capability.

But, who knows? They may be as crazy as many think they are.

No matter, imho it would take two weeks to conquer Persia.

Logistically, it would take three months to put the appropriate forces in place. For example, 1st ID from the NW (Iraq), 4th ID from the SE (Afghanistan), MEUs from the ocean and Gulf.

Air assets from Diego Garcia, Missouri, the carriers, etc.

Take two weeks. Maybe three.

Then leave after killing as many ayatollahs, immams and IRG as possible.

The People will do the rebuilding.

Well, the U.S. won't become the "main" battlefield, but they make a good point, nevertheless... The moslem jihadists and their enablers/supporters in this country will cause a huge amount of chaos and destruction...

However, with the proper steps to clean out a lot of liquor stores, 7-11's, mosques, cheapo gas stations, the halls of Congress, and the many training centers like Islamberg NY, some of the hundreds-of-thousands jihadists living & waiting amongst us can be deported and/or neutralized...

OK... That would just leave the question of the need to vote-out-of-office politicians or other people who despise the U.S. and it's Constitution...

We like the Iranian people = no one wants to see them starve. It's sad they're captive to insane Mullahs... who feather their ‘ own nests at the expense of the people.

If I had my way we would change the laws on murdering ‘leaders’... NOT allow assassinating for first world countries or democratic countries or counties where the people have a say... but for hellholes like Iran and North Korea it should be ‘NO HOLDS BARRED’... Anyone - any country in the world - should be allowed to go in and assassinate the ‘leaders’.

The Iranian people deserve better. I also feel countries that are hellholes should NOT have protection against their nighbors moving in and taking over.
