Iran’s Supreme Leader Approved Saudi Attacks: Washington
Oilprice.com via Yahoo ^ | September 19th, 2019 | Irina Slav

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei approved the attacks on Saudi oil infrastructure, a U.S. government official told CBS, adding that the approval had been granted on the condition that Iran’s involvement could be denied.

If what other U.S. officials are saying is accurate, this condition has not been met, however. Earlier this week, a team of U.S. security experts who traveled to Saudi Arabia to examine the wreckage of the drones and cruise missiles fired against Aramco’s Khurais field and the Abqaiq processing facility said they had determined the weapons were manufactured in Iran.

They also showed surveillance footage of incoming drones, although there was no footage of the actual hits that caused fires at Abqaiq.

Now, CBS reports that the circuit boards of the missiles can be reverse engineered, which would reveal their route to their target. What’s more, however, according to the U.S. government sources, there were satellite images showing the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps preparing for the launch of the missiles at the Ahvaz Air Base.

There have been calls for a U.S. military response to the attacks, but President Trump has taken a guarded stance. While ordering the Pentagon to draft several response alternatives, the U.S. commander in chief said "There's plenty of time to do some dastardly things. We'll see what happens."

A government source told CNN there were going to be "No knee jerk reactions to this - it's very systematic - what happens with patience is it prevents stupid moves."

It is not very likely that such an attack would go forward WITHOUT the approval of the Supreme Leader.

Sometime in the near future, when Iran is ready, Iran and/or North Korea will likely attack our U.S. mainland with nukes. The Chinese and Russians will follow with thousands more nukes, and they’ll do it for the purpose of simply ending U.S. influence in the rest of the world before further expanding their own influences to take over the world.

Wish we still had Saddam and Qadaffi in power today. Syria would still be intact, Iran would be far weaker (and poorer, without Obama’s deal) and 2 million migrants would never have invaded Europe

Interesting scenario. I have to ask a dumb question:

Why would the Chinese and Russians wait for Iran and North Korea?

The Iranians must be pretty confident to launch such a brazen attack,if true. I’ve got a feeling that we’re going to wake up one morning soon and we’ll hear that Iran has tested a nuke out in their desert. It’s going to be interesting how this new Israeli leader handles their foreign policy.

And terms like “refugee from Syria” “refugee from Iraq,” etc. wouldn’t ever come up in our conversations here in the U.S.

Too much trouble caused for too long.

Trouble for who? Us?

You’re going to tell me with a straight face that we are better off today having Iraq function as a Shi’ite puppet state of Iran? LOL.

The best advice is to wait? May be. I don’t know how long it would be best to wait, though. No one can see absolutely everything on the area of operations of the future.

Granted, though, Democrats and other “progressives” tend to let things get way out of hand before turning the U.S. into a real monster of a war machine in a late fight for survival.

Many people also assume that a few nukes lobbed here and there will be the end of such a conflict. It would only be the beginning of a conflict that would probably be larger than nearly all people could imagine. Essentially everyone would be drafted, and likely for a very long time.

I think you completely misunderstand modern warfare.

The U.S. will never have a military draft again.

“I hear that Saddam is trying to obtain yellowcake from Niger.”

I think they were.

"I hear that Saddam is trying to obtain yellowcake from Niger. I know because US government officials said so & the media reported it."

A large amount of enriched material was captured from Iraq and shipped to Oak Ridge. But our media glossed over that.

"Why would the Chinese and Russians wait for Iran and North Korea?"

Because they like to play head games and strike during times of chaos often plotted by themselves.

It is perfectly fine to bomb and attack Iran.

It is a terrorist state.

Pretending we can avoid war with Islamist States is ridiculous.

Blind pacifism is the real threat.

I actually think this is Trump’s plan. We offer to protect the peninsula with air cover and the 3 destroyers we just put in the Gulf and that frees up the Saudis to take care of business and not worry about an end around while they are away from home.

Pretending we can avoid war with Islamist States is ridiculous.

If that’s true, then why are we going to war with “Islamist states” to protect OTHER Islamist states?

“a U.S. government official told CBS” = rumors and/or fake news if/until spoken non-anonymously and officially by a Trump administration official ...
