Jeb Bush was a good Governor. Sure, he could have been better in many things, because he was weak the way all the Bushes were weak. But he was nothing like the miserable Crist. Crist didn’t tamper with a lot of things that were working, but he reeked of condescending liberalism, didn’t like Floridians very much, and had no firm ideas about anything. He’s also slick, sleazy and not very likable, so I don’t think the Dems are going to tap him.
Besides, after all their rhetoric, their main candidate has got to be black and preferably female, with a running mate who would appeal to black voters. Crist wouldn’t appeal to anyone.
I have no doubt he was better than the Dem, and Florida was the better for it. But at the end of the day, there are the globalists and the nationalists. Bushes are as global as it comes.
