At the end of the day, nobody really knows how much TV Trump watches, nor how much time he actually spends tweeting.
He has a staff that bring all sorts of stuff to his attention and he may actually spend very little time on twitter other than to type a few responses (i.e. troll) and then move on.

President Obama: ‘I spend mornings watching ESPN’
During an interview Friday with ESPN’s popular radio show “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” the president said that most of his mornings started with the Worldwide Leader in Sports.
“I spend most of my time watching ESPN in the morning,” President Obama said. “I get so much politics I don’t want to be inundated with a bunch of chatter about politics during the day.”
The president explained that watching ESPN’s “Sportscenter” while working out in the morning gave him a pretty good sense of the sports world because he doesn’t really have time to sit down and watch entire games.
However, he said that he’s sometimes able to watch major championships like the Super Bowl or the World Series.
Trump has probably figured out many of the hand written letters from people ‘who have been Republicans their whole lives’ are really coming out of Democrat War Rooms...
and that everything out of the mouths of these jerks is likely a lie.
Watching TV - and giving speeches - allowed Trump to get feedback not filtered through democrat and intelligence thugs.
I would believe this. If its not about him, entirely, he is not interested.
Also, I have always thought him to be intellectually lazy, so watching any cable news would be a strain on that weak brain of his.
Mark Levin used to read 0bama’s daily schedule to his radio audience. Most of the morning was spent in bed or in the gym while watching ESPN. Lunch. Meet and greet with press and some bum like Al Sharpton about 2:00pm. Time to go upstairs and watch TV in the family quarters.
