Climate change affects everybody. It doesn't care if you're black or white, rich or poor, male or female. Climate change affects everybody, and the notion that we can ignore it is just foolhardy. We are talking about the fate of our planet.
We're seeing global temperatures rise at an alarming rate. We're seeing the world's oceans warming at an alarming rate. We're seeing a growing number of climate refugees even though that term isn't yet broadly recognized in international law whether they are on the South Pacific island of Kiribati, on the North slopes of Alaska or in the Sahara. We have farmers dealing with changing soil and growing conditions. We have folks who are running out of clean running water because of drought.
There's not one part of the globe that's not being affected by this. Both on a national level and on a global level, there's nothing more pressing.
The average person understands this; the average person knows that there's something going on. And, the average American is looking for more leadership from elected officials on the federal level. In frustration, they're turning to their state and local officials, and saying, We want action. And so states and local governments are picking up the slack and enacting local and statewide ordinances to combat climate change.
I am optimistic carefully optimistic that we can make changes. Part of that is because I have found people to be receptive, when they have an open mind and don't come to these issues from an ideological viewpoint, that it can't be happening.

I think he may have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express at some point.
The weather must be the same year after year.
Conversely, we acknowledge the universe around us is in a constant state of change.
What arrogance these mites have!
That’s easy: same thing these types have said since the ‘60s. “We made a difference! All those little changes we caused saved the planet! We’re wonderful!”... and totally disregard the fact they did nothing they set out to do.
See: global pollution, ozone layer, freezing, over-population, burning up, dogs and cats living together...
Al Roker = Affirmative Action TelePrompTer Reader
Globull Warming brought us the coolest July in years.
Climate change made Roker poop himself at the White House.
Al Roker: Climate change is not ignorable. Stop debating what is staring us all in our faces.

Shut up fool. I’m not debating a thing. I’m DENYING it. I’ve no time to waste debating a lie.
I think we can solve the problem by writing out checks to Algore and George Soros.
The climate has always been changing. The main “culprit” is the energy output by the sun. A secondary “culprit” is the earth’s changing magnetic field.
I am old enough to remember the scares by pseudo-scientists in the late 1970s who were predicting a new ice age. I think the prediction was with ten years the northern part of the United States would have year round snow and ice and that Canada would become uninhabitable.
The new ice age never happened. The predictions by pseudo-scientists became that Man was causing Global Warming. Anthropomorphic Global Warming predicted all the polar ice caps and glaciers would melt causing severe flooding and putting most coastal cities under water. I believe the first prediction by Al Gore was that would happen by 2010. When that did not happen the AGW crowd moved the date when coastal cities would be under water to 2020. I just glanced at my calendar and learned 2020 is only 105 days from today. The AGW crowd rebranded themselves as the Climate Change crowd.
The Climate Change crowd is not telling us we have only until 2030 to “fix” the climate. Their solutions require taxpayers to spend trillions with no guarantee that we will fix the problem.
These pseudo-scientists have been pretty close to 100% wrong since about 1976. Why would anyone in his right mind listen to Al Gore, Al Roker, AOC, or any of the other morons peddling their pseudo-science?
He could help even more by not exhaling C02.
I can’t remember when I used bamboo utensils. Why does anyone need a straw - metal or plastic or paper? How much pollution did making that straw produce and how much water was wasted washing it? Bet he drives to work instead of moving within walking distance. Be he sends those suits out to be dry cleaned. How much makeup does he wear? Does the news station cafeteria send his meals on bone china or plastic? He’d do just as well going outside to look at the sky rather than all those computers wasting electricity and heating up the station.
For Profit and Power.
Al, how about the Dustbowl of the 30’s when you had real economic dislocation in the US. The Dirty Thirties had unbelievable heat yet your global warming buddies somehow recast those temps and lowered them so the hockey stick would look alarming. The data has been adulterated.
Can anyone tell me when climate wasn’t changing?
Our local ConservaBabe Talk Radio hostess (WIBA AM 1310) has guests on from Climate Depot every once in a while to refute doofuses (doofusi? ;)) like Al Roker.
What size nukes, and on which targets in China, does he want to attack with? If he doesn’t support flattening China, just what does he propose for dealing with them, since they are, BY FAR the largest CO2 emitter in the world?
We could write them on a spool of paper and drop it and let it roll across the floor and like Carlins dirty words.
Sure, there’s climate change. Probably since the turn of the century mankind has contributed to a more rapid pollution of the world. But I think just as the tide comes in and goes out to flush and clean the oceans the world has mechanisms of self preservation that can bring so much more of a result to help this problem than mankind could ever muster. Do you think God made the world stupid? If ALL nations got together to address this in urgency, a symbolic bandaid of treatment could be added to God’s plan for the healthy (or unhealthy)future of the world. One answer could be voluntarily sacrifices of those peoples lives who are most concerned, say half the world? Commit sacrificial climate hari kiri to slow? the inevitable, it still would not hinder the eventual change of this world into something different. Ever since the beginning, the Earth has been changing, growing, becoming different than it had been when it was born. Do we really think we have the power of God to affect any meaningful change to our existence? Sure, I think the world’s atmosphere and terra are changing, but we are being patronizing to God and hypocritically blinded to history and facts to think we can take full control of this. One thing I know would work, but will never happen (but you never know, remember Nineveh) that is if this WORLD would humble itself and pray and ask God for help, he COULD change the trajectory of even written prophecy into something a little less painful. With man it’s impossible, but with God, ALL things are possible

We lived in Pt Jervis, NY, about 90 miles NW of NYC. For all intents and purposes that town is a flood zone. It’s located where the Delaware and Neversink Rivers meet. The word Neversink comes from an Algonquin phrase meaning, quite appropriately at times, raging river. This indicates that there must be some accounting in the local Native folklore of severe flooding in the area long before the Dutch and English settled there. We would get all kinds of weather, cold winters, hot summers, blizzards, flooding, even an occasional tornado. And since we moved from there we’ve heard the last few years they’ve been getting “frost on the pumpkin” which is very unusual there. South of the Catskils it usually doesn’t get that cold until just before Thanksgiving.
