I’m not sure what Trump will do. He’s signed plenty of garbage from Congress already and H1-B has been a weak spot for him. It’s obvious by now POTUS has little influence over what Congress does. McConnell does want he wants and takes his marching orders from lobbyists.

I know you are a Perdue supporter. However, just so you know, Perdue is not wearing a pure white hat on this...He did not “kill” the bill, he has simply given it a “stay”...he supports the bill—see the quote.
This bill will be back for unanimous consent next week, sadly very likely with Perdue’s vote unless he hears from many Georgians.

Kamala Harris’s (D-CA) S. 386 — legislation that would allow Indian nationals to effectively monopolize the U.S. green card system for at least ten years — Perdue blocked a vote because he is concerned about the impact the plan will have on rural healthcare industries.
“I support this bill … we have some language that needs to be clarified,” Perdue said. “And I still have some concerns about the impact this legislation would have on some specific industries in my state and in the country.”

The GOP who are supporting this are globalists being paid off by companies that hate Trump...companies like FB (Zuck was on hill yesterday talking to Lee), GOOG, MSFT, et. al. These GOP supporters are little better than the Dems...better, but not by much. For goodness sake, Mike Lee is the originator of the bill!!!
For now SB 386 is a stay...we are on borrowed time.
It will not be a victory unless you and others PUT PRESSURE on Perdue and other Senators (either Dem or GOP as they BOTH ARE SUPPORTING) OVER NEXT FEW DAYS to truly kill it.
Better yet, email President Trump because I believe he is the only hope for truly killing this bill and giving us a real victory.
And kill it you should even if you don’t have tech workers in family being affected as this bill will hurt local communities where H-1B Visa holders locate; Lower salaries equal less local spending and fewer local tax dollars. Breitbart published a study on the subject.

I suspect Perdue will not be stopping the bill....From what I read, I think he is holding out for the nursing carve out or maybe money. Rand Paul did that with house version HR 1044.
So we have a one-week delay...We’ll see how next week goes...
