GOP Senate Plans Vote to Outsource College Graduate America
Breitbart ^ | 9/18/19 | Neil Munro

Investors are rushing a bill through the GOP-run Senate that would reward Indian college graduates for taking U.S. college-level jobs at low wages from young American graduates.

Utah GOP Sen. Mike Lee will ask the Senate on Thursday to approve his Indian outsourcing bill via “Unanimous Consent.” If no Senator objects, the radical bill will be considered to have passed the Senate.

A similar bill has already passed the House, numbered HR.1044, with the aid of 140 GOP votes.

Both bills are backed by India’s government that wishes to grow its economy by exporting more workers into jobs in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. The Lee/Harris bill would encourage this outsourcing by rewarding at least 100,000 Indian workers and spouses with green cards each year, up from the current “country cap” award of 20,000 green cards to Indians.

GOP Majority Sen. Mitch McConnell has the power to block the unanimous consent vote, as does any single Democratic or GOP Senator.

Officials working for President Donald Trump have not said if he will support or block the outsourcing bill.

The bill is being pushed by Lee and by Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris, who is now running for the Democrats’ presidential nomination.

“No elected beltway official has fallen farther than the former conservative rising star and now useless Senator Mike Lee (R-Kolob).”

What happened to this guy?

Apparently, Mike Lee woke up one day and wanted to be Mitt Romney’s poodle. Very curious case.

Trump should veto 1044. If he does not, he will be betraying his base of Americans. It is a full sellout of American workers.

I’ve watched the abuses of H1-B and H-4 for almost 23 years now.

Trump can eat sh*t next year if he continues this push putting American workers last.

I’ll take my chances with Warren and a possible red/blue split and a new republic.

QUESTION: Will ‘republic’ in FreeRepublic mean the new red republic? Or the marxist USA?

(pretty dramatic stuff here ;-)

Trump will veto this bill, there is NO WAY he will take tech jobs from Americans, the tech companies have done NOTHING but give Trump and conservatives grief so WHY would he give them outsourced labor with LOWER WAGES!!! GOP-e Senate SUCKS!!! Why in the hell would they make it possible for these tech companies to not hire American AND hire for lower wages what in the HELL have these tech companies EVER done for conservative causes????

No way? Don’t be too sure.

His administration has previously expressed support for bringing “smart” people to US...Unfortunately,he does not understand that H-1B Visa holders are not necessarily Einsteins...

House approved this, Senate will in all likelihood :(

Trump needs to hear from US Citizens...

Nothing good.

This would break my heart and soul if Trump approved it.

It’s kind of crushing that Rs are doing this to us.

For DECADES and DECADES we have let congressmen and women amass riches from lobbyists.

What a shame.

They are kings and queens now, they are the pigs that are standing.

I’m
An engineer
There is ALOT of smart Indian dudes. Just sayin.

I have computer science and business degrees.

There are many very smart US citizens with Computer Science, Engineering, Business, and related degrees who are working outside their fields here, due to these fraudulent visa programs.

Most of these displaced US citizens are smarter, on average, than any random selection of their Indian replacements.

There are VERY MANY much less intelligent Indians working in various fields here in the USA, fraudulently exploiting various visa loopholes.

We don't need a single Indian citizen in our workforce.

What happens when Stateside talent decides it's no longer worth it to provide cover for these H1-Bs?

If you think about it, this should be narrowly tailored to actual, demonstrated talent.

I was about to fire of a message to my state senator to block this, then realized I have no Senate representation here in Nevada.
The two wack-job D’s do not represent me and could not care less what I might think.

Time to split this state and make Lost Wages it’s own little heck-hole.

LOL!
I’ve met many recent tech graduates, none of whom work in the fields they trained for.
You see that sheepskin is pretty well worthless without “Experience in the field”.
So the Indians get the nod over our own graduates.
Even if they actually have no experience they can fake it easily enough, just stretch that call center experience to being a junior tech.

If U.S. companies really want a better talent pool they should be contributing directly to education.
Scholarships, internships, and apprenticeships.

Of course the education establishment would have to co-operate.
And I know that some do not want to, as a local company tried to set up an internship program.
Guaranteed job upon graduation.
The state college refused, they just want checks, with no restrictions on how they are spent.

Their football coach is paid more than our governor, priorities , priorities!

Hell no! OK Republican Senators, who will “stand in the gap” and raise an objection to the despicable Senator Lee’s unanimous consent request?

Unless you think your senator or a lot of GOP senators read this, who are you asking?

Maybe you should call or email your senator and ask them if they will stand in the gap...

BTW, I am putting my money where my mouth is and contacting mine—and I have emailed friends and neighbors...

Enough of our wealth getting transferred to India(ns). Where I live North of Atlanta we are getting overrun by them. There taking all the jobs and chain migrating like crazy.

Please, please, please....if you don’t like the jobs being taken, then Email/contact your Senator

—and President Trump... unfortunately, this will likely pass in Senate, last hope is for a Trump Veto...but not guaranteed unless people contact him.

It's nonsense, but they believe it.

“CHAIN MIGRATING LIKE CRAZY” needs to be emphasized. The Senate and, MORE IMPORTANTLY, TRUMP need to prove BY THEIR ACTIONS that they are for the interests of American citizens. Bills such as this one that Lee is pushing are VERY DISHEARTENING.

Indian techies are allowed to lie on resumes about fake skills.

Why aren’t American workers allowed to lie about fake skills??

Where is Congress’ support?? MAGA??

With all due respect (serious); quite a contrast there, and I hope you will reconsider...

Great speech, but where is the action?..By your logic, since both Dems and GOP are supporting this, none of us should “waste our time” contacting our “elected representatives”....

And why would you expect any senator to stand in the gap if everyone “never wastes their time” to contact them.

FR is a great place to post news, but if you look on the right side of the home page...it says News/ACTIVISM Forum...If no activism follows the information, what is the point? Just a place to rant, let off a little steam and feel better? I sure hope it is more.

BTW I am in ILL...I won’t let fact that I have 2 Dem senators stop me from trying...Waste of time? Maybe, but I am reminded of the Holocaust poem:

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.
Martin Niemöller

Seriously, I hope you will stand in the gap.
