Ex-national security adviser John Bolton on Wednesday ripped President Trump’s aborted plan to invite the Taliban to Camp David, saying the move sent a “terrible signal” and was “disrespectful” to the victims of 9/11 because the Taliban had harbored al Qaeda.
Bolton, speaking at a private luncheon, also said that negotiations with North Korea and Iran were “doomed to failure” on the president’s watch, two people who were there told Politico.
All the North Koreans and Iranians want is relief from sanctions to support their economies, Bolton told guests at the event hosted by the Gatestone Institute, a conservative think tank.
“He ripped Trump, without using his name, several times,” said one attendee.
Bolton also said more than once that Trump’s failure to respond to the Iranian attack on an American drone earlier this summer set the stage for the Islamic Republic’s aggression in recent months — including Saturday’s large-scale attack on the Saudi’s oil industry.

As time has gone by, my opinion of John Bolton has changed from very good, to not so good.
As if you have the slightest idea who was going to represent the Taliban. There’s multiple factions claiming to be the Taliban, but to the simpleminded they’re all the same.
I am losing respect for Bolton by the minute. His current machinations are simply leading himself into pointless and counterproductive self-immolation.
I don’t want to see us in the Middle East any longer, these BASTARDS are full of hatred for America that will NEVER CHANGE!!! I don’t want to see our men and women in this hell hole any longer!!! If Isreal is attacked that is one thing HOWEVER SA needs to defend themselves we have given them the tools to do so!!! Afghanistan is a hell hole we need to get out of!!!
It was, and is a terrible idea.
Trump seems to be trying very hard to pave the way for his "Deal of the Century."
He needs it to be one of his signature achievements.
I suppose he believes getting as many Muslim maniacs as you can could help the deal.
If it betrays Israel by attempting to divide Jerusalem or Israeli land in any way....well, God will have something to say on the matter.

I am the last person to try to provide Trump advice on how to structure a negotiation. Maybe there is someone else around who is better, but I don't know who that person is. I am guessing you don't either.

I have heard rumblings that people on his White House Faith Advisory Council have been warning him (and also Jared) about the details of the "Deal of the Century." So far, we know nothing of what it really means.
There’s some pretty solid evidence there that John Bolton was a paid lobbyist for an Iranian exile terrorist group a decade ago. I had this dope pegged as a deranged war-mongering globalist years ago.

Bolton’s (and Little Linda Grahamnesty’s) approach to foreign policy has been the defacto approach for nearly two decades. What fruit has it born? Just more of the same with no resolution in sight.
I trust Donald Trumps instincts over Bolton’s dogma. That said, a retaliation for Iran’s stupidity is coming. Just a matter of when.
