Dubbing themselves "climate rebels," activists demanding implementation of a radical Green New Deal-style plan vow to bring the nation's capital to a halt on Monday.

The Shut Down D.C. Strike Coalition declares on its website, "We will block key infrastructure to stop business-as-usual, bringing the whole city to a gridlocked standstill."

The group says the protest is inspired by a "climate strike and global week of action" Sept. 20-27 led by youth.

"They have been taking the lead so far, but now they are calling on all of us to take action," the coalition says of the youth. "In Washington, DC we will be answering the call and building on the momentum of the youth climate strikes in a major way."

Meanwhile, New York City announced 1.1 million public school students could skip classes without penalties to join the global youth climate strikes Friday, the New York Times reported.

Dubbing themselves "Conservative rebels," activists demanding implementation of a radical MEGA-style plan vow to bring the nation's capital to a halt on Monday. Twelve Million Conservative plan on showing up and Shutting Down DC... Now tell me, would any outlet run this crap if it was put out by a conservative group? It's NOT news until it happens. Before that time it's crystal ball reading. So called journalists need to remember that... the sizzle is NOT the steak...

All the more reason to relocate federal agencies to more appropriate areas of the country.

I rather enjoyed the bureaucratic hissy fit when Trump announced he was relocating the USDA to the Kansas City area.

The only downside of shutting down DC is making it hard for visitors to get in to see the museums and national monuments.

I’d love to see pictures of the aftermath. I’m sure these civic heroes will be diligent in cleaning up after themselves.

The fact that this number of people want to shut down D.C. for this stupid of a cause frightens me. If they are that gullible to hear nonsense, be taken up by it, and then try to force it on more sensible people, then they could be manipulated into taking up a more malicious cause. I guess they don’t realize that they have been conditioned by the libtard-controlled schools for years to hear some rousing speeches, subconsciously memorize and internalize catchy slogans, and never analyze the message any too closely before trying to pass it on, like some malevolent virus.

NOW you’re talking. IF they really cared, they would all do like their heroes from the past and burn their drivers licenses like the anti VN assclowns used to do with their draft cards.
