Robert “Beto” O’Rourke explained he plans to use fines to “compel” American gun owners to comply with his AR-15 ban, during a weekend exchange with reporters.
O’Rourke made his claim in a video posted by Fox4 DFW’s Teresa Riley.
He was asked how he plans to make Americans comply with his AR-15 ban and he said, “I begin by saying we expect our fellow Americans to follow the law. If they do not there would be a fine imposed to compel them to follow the law.”

O’Rourke went to talk about the example of Australia, citing how that country put in place a similar ban. He claimed Australia witnessed, “a near 50 percent reduction in gun violence deaths” as a result. But O’Rourke did not mention that rifles are not a statistically significant contributor to overall gun deaths in the U.S.

Remind gun owners that even if another Democrat is elected, Beeto can be named to a cabinet post where he can implement his gun-grabbing.
Before Butto’s version of the rules and laws take effect, he and the democrats will have taken down the U.S. Constitution and our bill-of-rights. It’s the ONLY way for him and democrats to do what they wish to get done.

The suicide rate went up, dropped, stayed the same.
The homicide rate did not change its trend line, which was down.
Accidents were such a tiny number as to be indeterminate.
Australia's overall homicide rate did not drop as much, over the period since the draconian gun law, as the U.S. did. The U.S. almost doubled the number of guns in the country, and quintupled, at least, the number of people who could legally conceal carry in the U.S.

Laws opposed to the constitution are by default, illegal and null and void. Anyone trying this would be doing so under color of law, acting falsely and illegally and i would treat them as such.

But if those dogs get turned loose, then so be it.
First: The guns in question are currently legally owned property.
Second: Under the 5th amendment, no person may be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
Third: Life, liberty, and property are given equal treatment under the amendment and enactment of a general law requiring or prohibiting something does not, of itself, satisfy the requirement for due process, especially when the action is opposed by the individual. Is the government prepared to give individual notice, hearing (or trial), and subsequent appeals to millions of property owners prior to taking the weapons?
Fourth: If due process is satisfied, then the final step would be to establish just compensation for each weapon. This would have to take into consideration many factors such as age and condition. Current eminent domain procedure or something similar would need to be followed.

If Beto were to get his lights punched out, it wouldn’t be a MAGA hat wearing NRA member AR-15 owner. It’ll be an enraged Chuckie Schumer yelling “You stupid s***!!!
