The Uniform Code of Military Justice gives power to "the SAME commander who signs to require a trial (court-martial)...of one of our military members...he's the same person that hand picks the jury." (Sen Louie Gohmert)
So the Justice for Warriors caucus is going to recommend changes to the UCMJ to the CIC.
now all they need to do as well is cashier all officers promoted to O-7 or above during Obama’s administration.
If you are like me and read faster than those who speak...an article:
Soldier Imprisoned for Killing Terrorist Seeks Justice for Wrongly Convicted Warriors
A U.S. soldier who spent nine years at Leavenworth Prison for killing a Taliban terrorist is vowing to fight for other service members wrongly or overly convicted of war crimes.
***snip***
In Sgt. Millers case, grave miscarriages of justice occurred:
Army investigators did not conduct a fingerprint analysis on the gun, did not do a gunpowder analysis of the Taliban operatives hands, took no pictures of the body at the crime scene and gave the body away to villagers for burial.
Prosecutors threatened witnesses into reversing their written statements.
The Army made no attempt to try to verify their own soldiers story.

Leave no man behind and I’ve got your six are two principles ignored and break the spirit and hearts of those charged.
Sydney Powell knows that being innocent until proven guilty is no longer the basis of our system of Justice.
Isn’t that the truth. They did it to the true Patriots! Hundreds!
Uh, Louie is from Texas. Nice job FOX News. You can afford to spend a little bit more money in hiring editors for your website!
Were those soldiers the ones charged under Osama Obama’s rules of engagement that made it a crime if a terrorist was shooting at you and then dropped his empty weapon you could not then return fire?
Just ban scary black guns in the military. Put Beato the Irishman in charge of the program.
Uh, if you had clicked on the link you would have seen that Fox did say Louie is from Texas. Blame the poster.........Sheesh!
Excuse me. The main FOX News webpage did have Louis Gohmert as being from Louisiana two hours ago when I saw it so they did make the correction not too long ago.
. ...assuming Louie is correct on his facts, and I’m sure he is, the couple hundred or so Leavenworth “prisoners” convicted by the Army or Marines should be let out today pending retrial or dismissal of their case plus compensation plus dismissal and/or prosecution of the JAG prosecutors IF fault or bias against them can be proven.
On the other hand, I don’t support open and shut outright murder of a prisoner either. But, the evidence should be overwhelming and the benefit of any doubt should go to the American serviceman. Moreover, no constitutional right of the soldier should be stepped on much less ignored.
This happened during the 2 administrations of obama. He had an ROE that made it impossible for our military personnel to fight unless they were fired on first....remember? Every person confined for doing things (fighting) the military way and not obama’s, should be immediately released from prison.
At the time of obama we had too many weinies promoted to do his will and not what was good for America’s military and America.
Ping!
Wonderful news, thank you for the ping.
Thanks, prayers for justice.
only a couple of soldiers were named and I didn’t research their charges.
Yes I remember well. Also remember them having to radio in for PERMISSION to fire. What a crock. One thing I will always thank MATTIS for is correcting a lot of that garbage.
Thank goodness for Mattis.
Yeah, I thought that must have been the case. Fox News is just as bad at fact checking as the rest of them.
