The left is setting the stage for another Borking in the likely event that a new Justice will soon be appointed to the Supreme Court requiring a confirmation hearing.

The left is trying to rewrite the history of the Kavanaugh hearing to erase the very real stigma of unfairness which they created for themselves and which leaves them vulnerable to the same charges of witchhunt in the next hearing.

They have the model of Judge Bork in which they succeeded and they have the two models of justice Thomas and Justice Kavanaugh where they did not. But if they look at the Clarence Thomas hearing where they failed to stop his confirmation, they know they subsequently succeeded in rewriting the history of the hearing.

Polls showed that Americans believed Thomas during the hearings but ceaseless media treatment post hearings swung the majority view to Thomas' guilt. I believe the left is attempting to rewrite the history of the Kavanaugh hearing so they can proceed to Bork Justice Ginsburg's replacement. They can say it was a miscarriage that Cavanaugh was confirmed just as they said that Trump only won because of the Russians, the Russians!

It is just that simple and just that cynical.
