After years of government largesse study, they will determine that the apparent time distortion is all caused by manmade global climate change. Their solution will be for all O&NG production, exploration and distribution to be halted and the Province of Alberta to continue to pay billions of dollars annually, to support 'green' industries in Ontario and Quebec. In addition, FedGovCan will continue to transfer billions to the PRC, to help those impoverished people who have made a 'great leap forward'.

It the universe has an age then it had to have a beginning. If it had a beginning it had to have a creator.
“I was so much older then, I’m younger than that now” - R. Zimmerman
Than what’s your beef with me?
I didn’t even post to you, and then you accuse me of trying to shut down dissent. A little harsh, don’t you think?
My OP wasn’t condemning anyone but saying while we like to yuck it up—including me—there is some value to science readjusting based on facts.
No beef, just an explanation to your question. Methinks you doth protest too much.
“We don’t know what we don’t know but where ever you are in the universe, the time is always now.”
Eckardt Tolle has spoken. :)
We can both agree that God created ALL there is.
However, doing so doesn’t mean anyone of us knows how he did it.
What’s it to anyone if he took billions of years to do so?
Psalm 90:4 For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.
Oil scientists need to know where abouts long ago dead things are buried. The seismology pinpoints where the oil is, but science tells them where to do the seismology.
OK, I’ll accept that FRiend, but I thought you were protesting too much also.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Why not calculate in Mercury years? Presto! The universe is 55 billion years old!
That would be in THIS iteration of the theoretically expanding/contracting/exploding cycle...
Every time you see an article where science is revised based on real data, we are also going to be reminded how some insisted that climate change was “settled” science. That’s a nonsensical concept as you point out. We always agreed, FRiend. :-)
“No matter where you go, there you are.” - Dr. Buckaroo Banzai
Well, it surprises me to know that some folks know how God Almighty made the universe out of nothing but by the power of His Will and voice!
When is the next demo, I would like to watch!
Next, it indeed matters in the theology of things, since the Word states specifically. Otherwise, the assumption voids the detailed description of the how. Of course, if you sent the written word, then you are free to hypothesize.
...next demo? I’d like to...
...deny the...
Can we edit posts? The Luddite in me is wondering?
until man invented the concept of a year, there was no such thing.....
Does it?
I agree that the element hydrogen was indeed made out of nothing. And then God used hydrogen to make the rest of the elements.
There is no dissent between us, brother.
However, the Bible just does not go into chemistry or astronomy nor physics. God left that for us to figure out.
That, and two dollars will buy you a cup of coffee.
Indeed. The knowledge of the ancients, probably mostly lost after the fall and certainly in the flood, leaves us well removed from the intellect and knowledge base of the world Adam was privileged to walk in the garden in the cool of the evening with the Creator, I’d think there was amazing knowledge transfer.
Certainly the Bible does not record everything in empirical fashion, but all of it is there.
Agreed that we have more in common faith wise than not.
What is going on? Why can’t they figure out hold old the universe is? Can’t they just carbon date it or something?
These guys know everything! just listen to them on the TV as in ‘how the universe works’.
