The Trump administration is preparing to ban flavored e-cigarettes as federal health officials call for restrictions to combat an outbreak of a mysterious lung disease that has sickened hundreds and killed at least six people, U.S. health secretary Alex Azar told reporters Wednesday. The Food and Drug Administration is finalizing its guidance to remove e-cigarette flavors other than tobacco from the market because children are attracted to other flavors, Azar said, following a meeting at the Oval Office with President Donald Trump. It could take the FDA several weeks to develop the guidelines, he said. The administration will also take enforcement action if it finds e-cigarette makers are intentionally targeting children, Azar said.

Disagree about the advertising. Most of these brands are pitched at young adults who frequently are, IMO, more child-like than any generation that came before them. That's why there is a liquid brand called Chubby Bubble and a flavoring named Unicorn Vomit.
In the UK the Royal College of Physicians did a comprehensive study of the physical effects of vaping and judged that it was much safer than smoking tobacco. Not entirely safe, mind you, but “much safer”.
The FDA and the American Medical Association ignored that study.
Smoking was HUGE when I was younger EVERYONE smoked, everyone on TV smoked, I was a cocktail waitress when I turned 21 and we all stood right in the waitress station and smoked!!! It is one hell of a habit to break I was SO THANKFUL for the invention of e-cigs, they have saved many from long term illnesses AND they are better than cigarettes I don’t care what ANYONE says!!!!

Disagree. I am okay with vaping but by legal manufacturers flavoring invites the youth and that’s not right and neither is advertising it to the under age people. And, BTW, I will not stand up and cheer if AR-15s are outlawed and thanks (sarcasm) for trying to change the argument.

Eighteen years, I have vaped for nine years, successfully and I feel great.
How many people have been diagnosed with lung cancer or COPD due to the use of vaping? How about heart disease from vaping?
The truth is, the lefties all over this country have supported the legalization of marijauna and is legal in some states, which is a green light for kids to believe marijauna is safe. Now, let’s take vaping which has been around, add the black market “marijauna is safe” to the equation and we find whatever is being used has killed six kids. SO who and what is really responsible,the vaping juice or the additive.........and no one wants to talk about the influence marijauna is having on the kids, because it is being promoted by the left. The only want to go after just the vaping.
One does no get high on vape juice...UNLESS a chemical blend of pot is added and a vape pen is used as the device to add and use pot. So are the kids going for the vape flavoring or the high?
