Tuesday was the night North Carolina’s ninth congressional district would finally decide who would represent them in the House. A consultant for the 2018 GOP candidate marked incomplete absentee ballots for his candidate, causing the results to be thrown out. Despite a new GOPer running, the CBS Evening News took that bad actor and used him to smear all Republicans and suggested the true question the election would answer was whether the GOP could win without cheating.
After failing news anchor Norah O’Donnell pitched the race as a “possible preview for 2020,” correspondent Dean Reynolds began the report by declaring: “The big question in the special election here today is whether the Republicans can hold onto this traditionally Republican seat without cheating.”

Thank you! I just woke up and was searching for the results here and all I find are eeyore remarks by people. This is a real victory after being told all day yesterday that the Dems had it in the bag. Congrats to the winners and to President Trump.
A Democrat was running, therefore there was cheating.
Yet the Republican won, or so I heard.
Whenever a Democrat operative brings up cheating (while implying that Republicans routinely cheat), we should be saying, “Yes, cheating is a huge problem! So you are on board with anti-vote fraud measures such as voter ID, paper trail for ballots, strict adherence to poll hours, not accepting “found” ballots after the election, etc. Right?”
I’ll bet that the DemocRAT operative will answer by claiming that those tangible measures to stamp out vote fraud will “disenfranchise” minority voters, and that they don’t address the “real” fraud.
The media seems to “feel” that Republicans cannot win any elections without cheating.

B.S. The media knows full well how to say things they know are out right made up allegations. The media does not “feel” or “think” or “believe” the lies they tell.
When you say they “feel”, its like you’re saying the media is being sincere and truthful. That would only be correct if they actually had any integrity. They don’t.
Would it be correct to say Goebbels “felt” a particular way. How would anyone know how or what Goebbels “felt”? Today’s media are in the same integrity class as “Goebbels”, albeit superior when it comes to propaganda.
Can Democrats win anything without cheating?
The reason for the election was because the actual election in 2018 was said to have been fradulently won by the Republican.

The Rats got away with grand theft in 18 and nothing was done about it. This one GOP win was a little dodgy so it got tossed and we had to do a do over. Point being the GOP brings marshmallows to a gun fight and if Trump doesn’t see this they WILL steal 20. The other thing is we’ve been hearing for a week this was going to be a nail biter based a numerous polls.

I noticed that the Today Show completely skipped reporting on the NC special elections this morning.

If I remember local news well enough, I don’t think the State and Federals are through dictating to us how our congressional districts are mapped are drawn. A little gift from the Civil War era that keeps on giving.

CBS was fairly balanced before Deborah? Really? I sure didn’t think so.
The dems are developing a strategy of never acknowledging defeat. Al Gore started in that direction, Hillary Clinton followed up on it by delegitimizing Trump, and Stacy Abrams has boldly come out and proclaimed herself as the real winner of the Governors race in Georgia and said that there is no need for democrats to ever concede or acknowledge defeat. I suspect that the dems in NC will challenge the GOP victory and the dems will continue their campaign of delegitimizing Trump in 2020 as well.
Vote fraud is no longer necessary in California. The Democrats/Leftists who control the state have effectively made it unlawful for anyone other than a hardcore America-hating Leftist to appear on the ballot ... to run for elective office.
