Republican Dan Bishop defeated Democrat Dan McCready in a close special election in North Carolinas ninth congressional district Tuesday night.
Bishop, a conservative Republican currently serving in the North Carolina State Senate, based his campaign on strong support for the Trump agenda. The president, for his part, strongly supported Bishop. On Monday, the night before the election, Trump appeared with Bishop at a boisterous rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina in the conservative eastern part of the district.
At the rally, Trump heavily criticized McCready for supporting the socialist agenda of Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Squad.

“Hope CBS Morning News chokes on it.”
Why wait till morning? The mourning already started from photos posted on CNN and MSNBC.
They are choking on their on vomit. They spew non-stop and this is an excellent rebuke, courtesy of The Chosen One.
The other NC congressional seat won bigger than expected. If this had gone the other way, the DNC Media was prepared to crow loudly but they look like an unexpected funeral is upon them.
We have a fight on our hands for this Republic FRiends.
In this case the Dem ran as an anti Dem middle of the road anti radical leftist. He was lying trying to get elected. The dem was a fairly good candidate who played up his military experience and tried to say he would work with conservatives and would not be pelosis boy. The district changed its boundaries to make it more competitive. So the margins were that close. Still a good win.
Here in CT the Democrats hold all five Congressional seats.
The only _victory_ we had here was when enough people left the state that our Congressional delegation dropped from six to five after the 2010 census. ;-)
A Republican held the seat before the special election.
He won the seat in 2018 with a margin of....wait for it, because the media will _not_ talk about it....
0.8%.
That is less than 1%.
That is why the “narrow victory” was in fact a great victory for the Republicans and a vindication for Trump who went to North Carolina to help this candidate.
Fantastic! Rush said yesterday that the two current races were going to be a ‘bell weather’ for the ‘Rats, and he was right - they got ‘rung,’ LOL!
MAGA! KAG!
Flipped on WTVD 11 local ABC affiliate out of Raleigh NC at 0630 this morning and not a peep, not word one about the results. And this a NC station I remind you.
Same for the 0700 broadcast. They must really be flustered.

I meant to mention in my earlier reply that I recall reading that word in older books and articles.
It is a great word and sadly not used often in today’s writings!
OMG, what is that from!!! I love it!
When Candidate Trump hosted SNL.
and reports on lies and politics
But yes, America's "poor" have all kinds of "stuff", that would ordinarily classify them as NOT poor at all.
Worse...far worse; some of these words have made it into the OXFORD UNIVERSITY DICTIONARY now.
I get it.
But it still goes that there is not many truly poor Americans. With all the welfare and free Obamaphones and whatnot you can be sure the poor in America have that big 70 tv in their hovels.
There are poor in Venezuela and in sub-Saharan Africa. Not here.
Because of all of the so-called "SAFETY NETS" here, nobody here knows what real poverty was/is like, first hand and haven't for an extremely long time.
And AS PREDICTED, not a word about the special elections on the Today Show this morning.
Someone tell me the final vote. Or are the recently found absentee ballots still being counted?
Boy what a fruity word to use :)
Its all in the inflection, my FRiend. :)
38% turnout for NC 9th election.
sorry, I know you were laying a plan out and I agree wholeheartedly but, since you live there, I had to get those questions in and hear your thoughts on it.
