First lady Melania Trump says she is worried about the 'growing epidemic' of e-cigarette use among US adolescents and teens.

In a tweet on Monday afternoon, she called for action to fight 'nicotine addiction', but didn't mention any specific plans.

'I am deeply concerned about the growing epidemic of e-cigarette use in our children,' she tweeted.

'We need to do all we can to protect the public from tobacco-related disease and death, and prevent e-cigarettes from becoming an on-ramp to nicotine addiction for a generation of youth.'

Satan knows what he’s doing that’s for sure...And the hippie dippie Left in this country makes it quite easy for him to do his thing: destroying lives, stealing souls. Albeit even conservatives don’t see the gravity of things like:

Oregon wanting to legalize psychedelic mushrooms.

“If I am at a casino and someone sits down with one of those things I get up. That smoke goes everywhere.”

Casinos smell like death because of smokers. Vapers don’t cause any of that.

I can sit at third base with a first base vaper and that smoke not only gets blown on me but goes to the next table beside me in swaths of smoke.

As I already wrote, that’s not smoke. That’s vapor, it dissipates. You’re smelling the equivalent of cologne/perfume by the time it gets to you.

Totally anecdotal, but here’s what I’ve witnessed with multiple smokers and vapers. The major benefit, from a smoker who actually manages the switch to vaping, is the stink. You people who don’t smoke know exactly what I’m talking about. Especially in the winter time, every cigarette smoker walks in to work with a rancid, disgusting, and concentrated stink from smoking in their vehicles all the way to work. It soaks in to their clothes, especially coats...they just stink..badly.

When they switch to vaping, that is drastically improved. Work productivity on the other hand, is unchanged. A smoker who needs regular ‘smoke breaks’, every 45 minutes usually, still needs a fix with the vaping device, only now they feel free to suck on that thing whenever it suits their fancy. I witness a co-worker, every morning, come in, sit down and proceed to hunch over and suck his vape device for a good 5 minutes while he gets his ‘fix’ so he can function. The guy is a millenial too, only 27 years old, AND he’s never smoked a real cigarette in his life! It’s pathetic! He looks like a freaking crackhead sitting there getting his fix, and he sucks it all day, taking breaks to ‘pack his bowl’ if you will. I’m pretty much of the opinion that any smoker is a productivity nightmare for employers, and I would never knowingly hire one.

SMH

Psychedelic mushrooms

Me and my group of 15 to 20 neighborhood friends DID DRINK in out teens and 20s

To say the least. And that was WRONG.

But NO ONE is addicted to anything or died or OD’d or became an alcoholic and ALL are married and doing fine.

A couple of guys did some hits of ecstacy and a few lines in their lifetime and smoked some pot.

So little it’s not worth noting.

Alcohol can be dangerous.

I am sorry though. It is NOT heroin or roxys or percs or sticks of xanaax or klonopin or valium or oxymorphone or fentanyl or crystal or LSD or a lot of other drugs.

SHUT THE BORDER down and then good luck dealing with the HUGE amount that comes through the piers.

Mafia still has power in brooklyn and other piers around here.

This is a nightmare.

This could actually make them more dangerous from a psychological aspect.

Many think they are safer so they will use them more.

I love my cigars. Nothing like the real thing. You don’t have to inhale to enjoy them. I just try to enjoy life and a cigar on the sunset patio with a 100 mile view makes it a skosh better.

Yeah, I really want to have billows of antifreeze and formaldehyde blown all over me

I love me a good cigar too - vaping helped me quit smoking a pack (usually) a day, but the taste of good tobacco I admit I can’t get away from. A little Lagavulin to wet the throat while we’re at it.

Let’s not forget that that’s still not smoke - formaldehyde doesn’t soak into your lungs via 2nd hand vapor.

I don’t think nicotine is itself a carcinogen. It does however increase blood pressure and heart rate. I think the real danger is from the trace materials in the liquid.

Nicotine also appears to cause fragile spinal discs later in life.

I would be in favor of making vaping products not available to those under 18, but there's a much larger problem her husbands has been warning us about.

Not true.

Even Juul admits it is toxic..but they claim it is much less toxic.

Sort of like how tobacco companies claimed cigarettes were safe...way back when..

Juul doesn’t claim non-toxicity. They claim it’s less toxic, which to be fair, hasn’t be proven one way or another.

The opioid crisis just keeps getting worse, in part because new types of drugs keep finding their way onto the streets. Fentanyl, heroin’s synthetic cousin, is among the worst offenders.

It’s deadly because it’s so much stronger than heroin, as shown by the photograph above, which was taken at the New Hampshire State Police Forensic Laboratory. On the left is a lethal dose of heroin, equivalent to about 30 milligrams; on the right is a 3-milligram dose of fentanyl, enough to kill an average-sized adult male.

Fentanyl, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is up to 100 times more potent than morphine and many times that of heroin.
