Chicago and Boulder want to become their own utilities too. It is another source of money while they neglect the infrastructure.

Heck, I would sell it to San Francisco immediately.

A city that can’t manage poop and urine surely can manage their own power grid, right? But one that declares the NRA a terrorist organization knows what it is doing in managing power and lights.

Handing the power grid over to the.politicians to run who cannot figure out how to pick up a turd, what could go wrong?

City service is the bread and butter of PG&E. Much cheaper and easier to support a city grid than a spread out rural one. A hundred paying customers per square mile vs 10.

City council members want the grid for greed, nothing else.

Are they going to “nationalize” it, guess that would be “citiize” it, just like third world countries do to corporations when they think they are collecting “easy” cash?

Even if they buy the grid, they still need to buy the electricity. Are they going to buy it from PG&E?

This is actually a good thing.

There is nothing Democrats touch that turn out good. It is only a question of time before the infrastructure begins deteriorating for lack of maintenance and then one day the power will go off and they will not be able to get it back on again.

All those Corporate Headquarters will be sitting in the dark wondering how it happened.

Will blame Trump and Republicans when they fail at running it. They’ll increase rates and tax those rates while the whole thing collapses; SF back to candles and kerosene lamps.

SELL!!

The power doesn’t originate IN the city. What a crying shame if the transmission connection at the trunk repeatedly failed. It would be awful to have to charge the city owners confiscatory rates to repair and to maintain connection.

Interesting. These eco conscious cites have declared that they want to be carbon free by 2030. What are they going to generate their power from? Solar? Wind? Human poop? They certainly have a generous supply of that.

Perhaps these communist cities want total control of the power infrastructure so they can force what type of power and how much power people receive and raise prices to drive behavior.

I don’t think the public is going to be very happy with the result.

SF can’t even figure out what a bathroom is for and who should use it.
They are right next to the largest ocean in the world and get their water from 200 miles away which they want to close down.
Their solution to a power shortage is to blackout parts of the City.

This is not going to go well.

Within a year of the takeover the power customers of San Fransicko will envy their counterparts in Ouagadougou.

“PG&E said in a statement selling assets to San Francisco wasn’t in the best interest of its customers and stakeholders.”

This is an absolute fact. But because I hate Frisco they deserve this. I witnessed a small town of around 3,000 be completely destroyed because the city bought the power company. First thing they did was decide it to be their only revenue source. They tripled the rates right away which ran off and shut down every business in town within a couple years.

Then even the residents could not afford their electric bill and they all left. Now there isn’t even a grocery store there to buy groceries. They just absolutely killed the town including all their own city business tax revenue with this purchase and greed. They stepped over a thousand dollar bill to pick up a dime. And yes... They were flaming liberals running the town.

P G & E should let San Fransisco have it. Then there will be one more thing that San Francisco officials can screw up.
