- Surviving crew were driven back by the fire off the coast of Southern California
- They are said to have told investigators in 'very lengthy, detailed, comprehensive interviews' the harrowing story of the moments after the fire erupted Monday
- Jumping from the ship's bridge to its main deck, they tried to get into the galley
- With the galley's doors on fire, they tried to get through windows but could not
- 'At that point, due to heat, flames and smoke, the crew had to jump', officials say
- Two retrieved a skiff to see if they could rescue any survivors. None were found
- The only crew member to die was Allie Kurtz, 26, who had quit her corporate job
- Captain reportedly made two mayday calls and 'was the last to leave the boat'
- The harrowing details were revealed as the owners filed a petition asking a judge not to order any payouts to the victims' families

The Dell Li-Ion batt pack laptops Im familiar with that use battery supervisory circuity in the batt pack wont do diddly to the batt pack unless the pack reports as healthy to the laptop. If one of the cells is dead, the pack wont take a charge from that point forward.Yep. Exactly what I was describing. The pack protects itself.
Guess what's missing when you buy the cheap chicom knock-off? ;)

Guess what's missing when you buy the cheap chicom knock-off? ;) Not you, personally. A better way to state it would have been:

“This could be significant, if you can ascertain why it was done.”
The dive company’s insurers contacted the owners and insisted that it be filed right away.

“and I pray to God they were asleep and unaware.”
That’s what is being reported here today in SoCal. The fire officials believe that everyone died before the fire burned them.

This has been a problem for quite a few years now -
Unprotected phone battery copies. Yep. There you go. An honest-to-God cheap chicom knock-off.
Thanks for posting this video.

If . . . and this is a huge "If" - the surviving crew showed symptoms of HF exposure in 12 - 24 hours after the fire - it would explain why now there are a couple official sources talking about battery chargers today.
As well, on day 1 of the disaster the CG reported that the 4 deceased passengers pulled from the water showed physical trauma consistent with drowning. HF over exposure mimics drowning in that there is severe pulmonary edema (basically drowning in your own lung fluids) if you've inhaled a lot of it. That's one way it kills you. A lot of speculation, I know
