Chinese Vice Premier Liu He met with a delegation led by US Senator Steve Daines and Senator David Perdue here on Tuesday.
Liu, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said Sino-US relations are related to the stability and prosperity of the world
Speaking of the great importance of US-China relations, Daines, also co-chair of the US House of Senate US-China Working Group, and Perdue, said they are not willing to see economic and trade conflicts between the two sides, adding that they will continue to play positive roles in deepening mutual understanding and promoting the development of bilateral relations.

I think the Chinese will take this at face value, and put these two meatballs down as treacherous.

It wouldn’t violate the Logan Act.

No one better to file those types of charges against than Republicans, providing they go over the edge. Put people on notice right now.
This won’t be tolerated from our own party either.

Ladies, please! Before we make a mountain out of a molehill, let me offer two observations:
1. Foreign policy is directed and conducted by the Executive branch with the advice and consent of the Senate, which exercises power over its appointments and treaties. It is legitimate and proper for sitting senators to play active roles in foreign affairs in concert with the president's policies.
2. David Perdue is a big-time Trump supporter, so I don't buy into any allegation that he is undercutting the president or his policies. I highly suspect that Perdue is in the loop with Secretary Pompeo and President Trump.

So they interview the union head to get a read on Purdue’s business skills? No thanks. Purdue looks like a solid business guy, weak on gun rights, strong on pro-life, big spender and weak on border. Not a great Senator for sure, but bashing him using Wikipedia and fake news media is playing by the enemy’s rules.

Yes, it is what it is. Purdue is not great. But he’s a big supporter of Trump especially regarding China, Iran and other enemies. He did not vote to tie Trump’s hands negotiating with any of those, unlike many other senators.
