President Trumps approval rating held steady in August despite growing fears of a potential economic recession and a continued trade war with China.
Forty-five percent of respondents said they approved of Trumps job in office, unchanged since the prior month, according to the latest Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey released exclusively to The Hill.
The survey comes as fears of a recession grow, in part over continued trade tensions between Washington and Beijing.
President Trump has the strong support of the American public when it comes to standing up to China, Mark Penn, co-director of the Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey, said.
They realize that the tariffs may have negative impacts on jobs and prices, but they believe the fight here is the right one. Americans are highly suspicious of the Chinese government and view their leader as little more than a dictator, he continued.

“economic fears” my ass..
Trump’s approval steady despite deepening economic fears
Trump’s approval steady despite the MSM’s attempt to drum up deepening economic fears
Flamed by the criminal media who would never have done this under Obozo.
If products at Walmart or Costco go up in price because of the tariffs, just don’t buy the product until the price goes down.
economadic fears
The Clowns and their Cheerleaders better find new material.
peoples fear may be real but they are smart and don’t blame trump. They blame what the democrats and GOP establishment RomneyBitches might do.
Can Soros orchestrate another market crash?
The “economic fears” are just that - fears. There is no functional basis for any of it, except “Orange man bad”, while all the time, the economic health of the country is being talked down by those who would spread gloom and doom as a political strategy.
Do we have a sometime problem with China? China could solve the impasse in hours, if they so chose, but that would leave them “humbled” in the presence of Donald Trump, and there are those in this country that do not WANT China to be humbled.
Please. It is us or them, and I am sort of partisan toward “us”. China has handed us the short end of the stick WAY too many times.
Who ya gonna believe The propaganda arm of the DNC? Or the robust, healthy economy?
I call BS. Best Economy in friggin’ HISTORY! MAGA!
New York Times, July, 2019:
Minority Women Are Winning the Jobs Race in a Record Economic Expansion
The economic and social trends that have long kept Hispanic and black women from making job and wage gains appear to be shifting.

The recent job gains show that prolonged economic growth, combined with those social changes, has the power to lift long-marginalized minorities. The pattern also offers hopeful news for employers: As these women pour into jobs, they are providing a new source of labor in an economy where workers are increasingly scarce.

Unemployment is near its lowest level in 50 years and prime-age employment rates have bounced back after falling off sharply during the 2007-2009 recession and its aftermath.

There, fixed it.
It must really gall them to admit that their 24/7 foaming at the mouth anti-Trump hysteria across hundreds if not thousands of platforms, isn’t having their desired effect.
MSMLSD fears - not happening. As FDR said “We have nothing to fear but fear itself. The MSM always goes for “OMG what if ....)
There, fixed it.
Rats, phone paste did not work right. Fixed it, again.
Only reason there is economic “fear” talk is because the left knows they are going to get crushed next November without one... So they are going to try to talk us into one...
Nothing more..
America’s greatest enemy is progressives
Where, besides the fake news media, is this economic concern deepening?
