BREAKING: Boris Johnson 'planning snap election' before Brexit
Sky News ^ | 09/02/2019 | Alan McGuinness

Boris Johnson has said there are "no circumstances" in which he will ask for another Brexit delay, as he prepares for a parliamentary showdown with MPs.

In a statement outside Downing Street, the prime minister claimed MPs' attempts to force him into an extension would "chop the legs out" from the UK's negotiating position with the EU.

Mr Johnson called on MPs to reject a "pointless" bid to stop him taking Britain out of the bloc on 31 October without a deal.

Speculation is rife in Westminster that he could call an election if the MPs are successful in their efforts to pass a law attempting to push back Brexit to avoid no-deal at the end of next month.

A government source has told Sky's deputy political editor Sam Coates that Downing Street will table a motion paving the way for a potential election if rebel MPs manage to win the vote.

I think it means a last minute type arrangement. i.e an election within a short period of time.

Basically the UKs form of government is parliamentary (ie our congress) and can be dissolved by the head of parliament (Boris) whenever he feels the government can’t function in its duties which results in an immediate election (outside the usual times)

And Boris gets to pick the date as well. There is no written constitution.

He’s going to frame it as a People vs. Parliament election. He’s going to win big!

If Boris dissolves Parliament for a snap election, could he set the election date for AFTER the BRexit deadline, thus ensuring BRexit happens?

I’m not convinced that Boris or May really support Brexit. May called elections which weakened “Leave EU” movement . My concern is Boris is doing the same.

Yes it can but I dont think he will do that.

The speculation is that it will be held on the 14th October. There is an EU summit on the 17th so whoever is Prime Minister can attend.

Boris: “Let’s get on with the people’s agenda. Fighting crime, improving the NHS, boosting schools, cutting the cost of living, unlocking talent and opportunity across the entire United Kingdom.”

The Trump revolution is spreading worldwide every day.

It’s always a random chance going back to the electorate for voting - but from what I’ve read the polling indicates that if the elections are called in response to this that MORE pro-brexit officials will be elected as Boris has succeeded in increasing support for it again.

This is also different in that it’s a counter to a move to slow down Brexit again.

In a sense he’s going for broke.

It’s really remarkable how similar both countries political crises are, right down to the degree to which members of the Conservative (UK) and Republican (USA) Parties are being forced out into the open and revealed as Deep State world government agents.

Philip Hammond = Mitt Romney, for example.
