Comedian Kevin Hart and his driver suffered "major back injuries" in a car crash in the Malibu Hills late Saturday night, a report said.
Police sources told TMZ a Plymouth Barracuda belonging to Hart, 40, veered off the road on the Mulholland Highway.
The vehicle turned up in a ditch about 10 feet off the side of the winding road after it smashed through a wooden fence.
Hart was not driving at the time and his driver was not drinking, the report said.
The roof of the Barracuda was almost completely crushed in the crash.

Funny guy
What people do, to lower their Bacon Number. How many degrees of separation between Kevin Hart and Kevin Bacon?
That’s not gonna buff out!
I heard it was a 1970 barracuda.........quite pricey. Not sure if I would have allowed anyone to drive it like his driver was probably doing. Not sure if I would have allowed anyone to drive it period.

A friend of mine had ‘70 Hemicuda. Tons of power, foul handling. He sold it to put his wife back in college to finish her degree. She met some guy there and ran off with him. It’s a subject we avoid around him.
I’ve owed 2 ‘70 ‘cuda440’s AND broke my back in a rollover racing crash last August so this one is painful to look at.
If someone owns a Modern muscle car, they know there are multiple nannies that keep the car from killing you. Take those nannies off while accelerating with max effort on a crowned 2 lane road and you will crash within seconds.
Restomods don’t have hundreds of software engineers writing code that integrates 6 gyroscopes, updating at 100 times/second to individually brake each wheel keep a modern 700+ HP car always pointed in the right direction.
Though my car rolled 6-8 times, it was the first impact in my wreck was the back breaker... a compression fracture of my L1. I knew my back was broken so I stayed in the seat until paramedics came. My co-driver’s vertebrae was cracked and he had 6 cracked ribs, but he got out and was walking around. HANS devices kept us from being killed.
Note to self. Never let your Friend drive your Restomod.
He couldn’t reach the pedals?
That’s cold. Funny, but cold.
The picture of the engine shows a supercharger installed on it. So that increases the horsepower significantly. 8>)
Nice!
I owned one of those. 273, 4 sp.
Fun car! Especially on a twisty road with the window down — listening to that beautiful exhaust sound of the “Commando 273”...
It looks like a “Hellcrate”, the crate motor version of the 707 HP Hellcat motor. It would be CARB legal in a ‘70 ‘Cuda.
I would love to restomod a 1958 Cadillac El Dorado Biarritz convertible with one of them 8>):
Just for grins!!! 8>)
Intriguing some mod deleted my post that simply said “Who?”
They continue to stifle fundraising from me with those stunts.
