Fresh from her transatlantic sailboat crossing, teen climate activist Greta Thunberg was joined by hundreds of American teenagers on Friday at a protest outside the United Nations headquarters in New York City.
They carried hand-drawn placards with messages such as "United behind the science" and "Act now or we will." And they chanted "System change, not climate change” and "Don't just watch us, join us," the Guardian of London reported.
While boasting of a carbon-free trans-Atlantic trip, it turns out her sailing team will fly back to Europe and another team will fly to the U.S. to take the boat back across the Atlantic. Reacting to criticism, Thunberg's team insisted the flights would be "offset" with carbon credits.

Bingo. She could have Skyped from Sweden. Instead she wanted her publicity stunt which would pump lots of carbon into the atmosphere.
No. They’re telling kids to have one or no kids ... for the planet.
Liberals define morality based on feelings. Do what feels good, it is good, follow your heart, listen to your heart to know what is true.
Conservatives base morality on rules/laws, especially divine laws. Morality is following those rules, regardless of your feelings.
For liberals, looking good IS good and the positive feelings are thought to make others be more good/moral. Hence moral peacocking like this and public acts of guilt-tripping are MORAL. That they don’t do good or may harm people is irrelevant - we meant well is good enough an excuse for it.

“Carbon free.” She is not carbon free. She is composed of complex molecules involving carbon. As all living creatures. She means “CO2 free,” but that concept is too difficult for her.
Animal creatures emit CO2. That is used by plants. This is known as an equilibrium. CO2 is not a poison.
Hating fossil fuels is deception. They actually hate the industrialized society in which we live. We could not have what we have without petroleum products. Solar and wind won’t cut it. I invite her to truly live without petroleum products and not be a hypocrite about it.
She really just went along for the ride an a multi-million dollar racing yacht. It won't be going back to a "hell hole" unless you consider the Monaco Yacht Club to be a "hell hole" and in some ways you may be right.
The boat is a toy of the richest of rich, people who spend millions of dollars racing a yacht instead of spending money on something "important" like "saving the planet" or "ending poverty". The boat's main sponsor is BMW, that company that makes wood fired sports cars that don't have any carbon footprint.
It is all a giant scam perpetrated by wealthy, elite European globalists. Somebody put up a lot of money to have a racing yacht and its 18 person management team (not counting sailors)go out to spout climate change propaganda.

Just curious, what are your thoughts on Bolsonaro’s refusing foreign aid to stop the fires in the Amazon? What you say is scientific truth, but kill off enough plants and equilibrium is lost.
Thanks. That’s exactly what I figured. The “carbon footprint” of building a boat like that is horrendous. Those stats I posted showing the amount of CO2 emissions to make carbon fiber give the lie to the notion it’s a “green” boat.
Greenies are largely technological idiots and don’t understand complex systems or total product emissions cradle to grave.
