Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump claimed Friday that the US had nothing to do with the explosion of an Iranian rocket Thursday, tweeting a photo of such high resolution that it prompted questions about whether the President had publicly released classified imagery.
"The United States of America was not involved in the catastrophic accident during final launch preparations for the Safir SLV Launch at Semnan Launch Site One in Iran," Trump wrote, and added what appeared to be a sarcastic sign off. "I wish Iran best wishes and good luck in determining what happened at Site One."

Period.
It’s probably classified in IRAN.
Bingo end of story.
Classified? We all saw it on TV.
Obama gives billions to Iran - okay
Trump tweets a picture - bad
This happened when I was in the service. President Carter talked about the KH-11 satellite system, which he was perfectly able to do, as president.
If the President releases it, it's not classified.
Shhhhhh....don’t tell the media....they’re so enjoying their “bone for the day”.
I hope he did. They need to know we will not allow them to have nuclear weapons or the means to deliver them.
CNN can’t help themselves....Pathetic...
Apparently the media believes Iran doesn’t know we have satellites with cameras... Damn! Wait’ll they find out about our Norton Bomb-sight.
Pathetic
If he released it, it is declassified. He is the absolute final say. He is not subject to over-ride.
I saw it on space.com long before the tweet.
Norden....but then I would only expect old farts like me to get it right.
Classified? We all saw it on TV.
Beyond that, CNN is probably sad that the Iranian nuclear program had a setback.
EXACTLY. It is his Executive Order that classifies. He can omit, modify or change it altogether at any time.
Who knew that CNN was concerned about classified information?
The real picture shows that one of the technicians has an untied shoelace. Plenty of commercial imaging satellites have the resolution shown. If Trump announced that he had developed a cancer cure, one shot, at $5.00 a dose, CNN would say that he contributed to overpopulation and destroyed the health industry, putting hundreds of thousands out of work.
I called and asked a dumpster company if they could place the dumpster in back...
She asked for my address, looked up a satellite view and said,
"No, you've only got 9 feet between your trees and we require 12 to get our trucks in without damaging your trees."
So, I don't think the resolution in this photo is at the "classified" level.
Now, the labels suggest the photo was from a formal briefing.
