I guess he’ll miss a few starts.
It sounds like he was headed to this sort of death, anyway.
He came from a good family.

He had a triple death wish going on..... “
The autopsy and toxicology report released Friday show Skaggs had a combination of fentanyl, Oxycodone and Oxymorphone in his system.”
Thanks China.
I don’t get it. Life is plenty fine without this stuff. This guy had a big bright future ahead of him.
I have a few beers a year. I don’t need that either, but it’s not going to put my lights out.
I’ve even considered stopping drinking.
These things are not essential to a happy life.
We knew some of his family members in California. Nice guy. Sad to see this happen.
Was the drug use to ease the pain of injuries, under medical care, or was it a stupid recreational CHOICE?
Got Prince and Tom Petty too
Sounds like he had a serious substance abuse problem. Very sad
Unfortunately this sort of thing was likely.
Young healthy men usually don’t just die.
Live like a Rock Star, Die Like a Rock Star.
Are people dying from hydrocodone?
Sure but, only the ones who combine it with other drugs...
Skaggs, 27, was found dead July 1 in a Southlake hotel while the Angels were in town to play the Texas Rangers.
...
He’s a member of the 27 club.
Skaggs was rather injury prone. He had spent some long stints in rehab. And although he was a very good pitcher, at times, he was also inconsistent...frustratingly so. I wonder how much the drugs played into that.
A real shame...
How did he think he was going to pitch the next day?
Hope I’m the first to say it: “At least he died doing what he loved”.
Of course he did. That’s why it was so silent. Sad part is probably half the team knew and no one intervened
Trump tweet inbound...he’s been all over the fentanyl scourge lately. Probably not until after the hurricane however.
WHY????? My gosh, WHY???.....I just don’t understand...
When I saw the way MLB was talking about what a “fine young man” he was I knew it was drug-related.
These days large organizations lie first, and ask questions later.
