It looks like Mike Pence is quite the trendsetter. The US vice-president famously refuses to have dinner alone with any woman who isn’t his wife – and now working men across corporate America appear to be following his lead.
A new study, due to be published in the journal Organizational Dynamics, has found that, following the #MeToo movement, men are significantly more reluctant to interact with their female colleagues. A few highlights from the research include:
• 27% of men avoid one-on-one meetings with female co-workers. Yep, that’s right, almost a third of men are terrified to be alone in a room with a woman.
• 21% of men said they would be reluctant to hire women for a job that would require close interaction (such as business travel).
• 19% of men would be reluctant to hire an attractive woman.
The data above was collected in early 2019 from workers across a wide range of industries. Researchers had asked the same questions (albeit to different people and with more of a focus on future expectations) in early 2018, just as #MeToo was in full swing, and depressingly, things appear to have got worse. In 2018, for example, 15% of men said they would be more reluctant to hire women for jobs that require close interpersonal interactions with women, compared to 21% in 2019.
It’s not just men who are afraid of women, by the way. Women also appear to be increasingly wary of hiring women. The 2018 survey results found that more than 10% of men and women said they expected to be less willing than before to hire attractive women. For a responsible company leader knows that every hire decision is not only about history and skills, it also involves a non-documented and unspoken assessment of risks associated with hiring a job condidate. Been that way for a very long time now and has only gotten worse in the last 10 years. To deny this is the case, is self delusional at best and completely dishonest at worst.
Even if only 5% of women will make false accusations—why take the chance of being alone with any of them?
The risk/reward ratio says stay away...

That’s how men were trained in the corporate world back in the 1980’s. It was called Sexual Harassment Awareness Training. We were told not to talk to women about anything except work. Women were not only not required to take the training course, they weren’t even told about the content of the training.
The women didn’t like it and were upset when men quit telling them how nice they looked in their new dress or suit, or mention their new hairdos.
You can do it as long as you have your resume ready and have a very marketable skill—otherwise not a good idea.
I work from home normally but stopped by the office today. A female colleague was at her desk with a small set of pink tools trying to fix something.
I made some crack about the pink toolset. Fortunately, she started to laugh pretty hard.

But, many men are ‘fixing it’ for themselves via Red Pill and MGTOW: liberation and risk reduction. Woke men, unshackled.
Forty is the age one can claim age discrimination. When I turned 40, I received a laminated handicap parking sign in my office mailbox with the caption Happy Birthday Old Timer.
A few seconds later, the HR director walked in. I told her that I had a problem and showed it to her.
She kept going between laughing and apologizing.
I told her that I needed her help. The HR Director at a rather large subsidiary of a publicly owned company actually sent an email to the “harrassers” notifying them that they had been implicated in a harassment complaint and needed to see her right away.
It was awesome. I saw my boss get his email and go pale, then he said “Your name’s not on the lost and if there’s any harassment going on, you’d be part of it.”
Another guy actually walked into her office and turned in his resignation on the spot.
Wow, talk about a great response. I walked in a minute later and we all got a great laugh.

I have no sympathy for leftist women. They are horrible hateful people and deserve being left out in the cold.
I know I will not help leftist females. Let them fend for themselves.

Yup. I think we are decades past the point where a guy would repeatedly be a jerk. Sometime around 1970 or so people began to wise up and realize that boorish behavior wasn't OK. Sure, people still make mistakes, you tell the guy he's over the line, he corrects himself, and life goes on.
But in the modern era, one failed attempt at humor or small talk means a lawsuit and the end of a career. I am extremely cautious about women these days.
This whine sounds remarkably similar to trannies complaining that straight men don’t see them as women and won’t date them.
to be honest, I am out of the day to day anymore, but I caution both men and women to not be alone with anyone anymore. Any man can be hit with the metoo movement.
However a man can be hit with a false sexual harrasment charge from any man also. Same with the women. Along with not being alone with a man, I think that a woman pressing sexual harrassment charges against a woman is not out of the realm of possibility.
In these days that the left is now imposing on us, instead of letting us take care of business ourselves, it imposes radical rules.
Of course the up and coming generations often have not learned interal control, because it has been taken away by the leftists.
