The flailing 2020 presidential campaign of former Rep. Robert Francis Beto ORourke (D-TX) claimed Wednesday that a staffer ejected Breitbart News senior editor-at-large Joel Pollak from a speech at Benedict College, a historically black college, to protect black students.
In a statement Wednesday, ORourkes press secretary, Aleigha Cavalier, attempted to defend against the growing controversy stemming from Pollaks removal, claiming that while the candidate believes in the right to a free press, Breitbart News walks the line between being news and a perpetrator of hate speech.
Given this particular Breitbart employees previous hateful reporting and the sensitivity of the topics being discussed with students at an HBCU, a campaign staffer made the call to ask him to leave to ensure that the students attending the event felt comfortable and safe while sharing their experiences as young people of color, the statement added.

Where’s that judge that made Trump let Acosta back in?
Young people of color
= = =
Are they white, and darken as they age?
Lots of organisms do that, given evolution and all.
As expected from the New Orwellians.
Conservative thought becomes Hate Speech and therefore unprotected.
Like the Soviet Constitution that promised all sorts of glorius rights, but simply redefined them away.
He should sue.
They’re protecting their wards, yeah, that’s it.
Blah blah blah! You along with the rest of the left are virulently anti-white. You obfuscate and tell outright lies on racial matters. You denigrate America, our history, our culture, our ancestors and us. You are hypocritical to the nth degree and an enemy to our survival.
GFU!
When the first chirps about outlawing Hate Speech surfaced after the dragging death of James Byrd, the Black man in Texas during GW Bush’s term, conservatives warned that it would lead to the Left using it to accuse conservatives of thought crimes.
The conservatives were right.
"Coloreds" is the true derogatory subtle racism of old. The left invents and re-invents language to fit their narrative. The color white is the new black.
Yeah, and without hate crime laws, two of the killers were sentenced to death, one to life in prison. What else were they going to do? Give them a couple of extra injections after they were dead?
Fake News only allowed!!!!! And all fakenewsers are required to wear safety goggles in case Beto flails too close to their eyes.
From what? He just showed up and was tossed out.
Beto is in a world of pain where, for all his efforts and money spent, he ends up at 0% in the polls. His Vanity Fair vanity is lashing out at conservative reporters and next it will be at his Spanish teacher or his dentist or some bystander who unwittingly helps him change his car tire. It’s all really unfair for the rich toddling... and his wife will start to wonder, “Did I marry a loser? THAT’S NOT EVEN HIS REAL NAME, FOR HEAVEN’S SAKE!” Yes, he is a kid, a spoiled brat in fact, and once this is over he will ride off over the hills with his skate board like in some western.
None of this amounts to anything, Robert Francis campaign is circling the toilet bowl.
“Beto ORourke Campaign Claims Breitbart Reporter Ejected to Protect Black Students”
Did Beto the Bozo think he was going to start beating black folks with his camera?
Insane. No reasonable cause or explanation.
So, he was ejected for speaking the truth.
I live in Texas and know for a fact, Beto is only running to keep his name out there because he’s running for the Senate against Cornyn. Take it to the bank
Everyone knows there are roving bands of Breitbart reporters murdering innocent black children across the land. Someone has to save them, the hapless little waifs they be.
Beto is a puffed up piece of crap on a good day.
3 time lose (mayor, Congress, Governor) Chris Bell is going to run for the Senate.
He’s a bigot who’s upset that he lost his seat to a black Democrat when district lines changed so he launched a lame duck ethics charge against Tom DeLay.
