Hurricane Dorian battered St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and brushing Puerto Rico. Taking aim at the Florida Atlantic Coastline, Hurricane Dorian is projected to be a major hurricane (Category 3) at landfall.

If it lands at Vero or Melbourne then here in Orlando we would be on the 'NE' side; Terry expects (today) it to turn North towards Orlando as a cat 1... Yikes! But too early to be certain where that turn North will occur.

Based on last year,s delays in closing which caused a mess for the veterans..The VA clinics are not a little bakery that can just close it’s door and put a little sign up it’s also very dangerous for veterans to try to reach the clinics in hurricane storm weather.. nevermind trying to cross the many bridges

I think they decided to “predict” it would hit central Florida just to make everyone pay attention and/or evacuate early.

One of the current models has the storm slicing through Orlando and St. Pete then making a u-turn in the Gulf and coming back to strike the western coast of Florida a second time. That would be a bad scenario, maybe not “worst case” but that would definitely do a lot of damage.
