Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich told CNN Tuesday night that he doesn't see any path "right now" to beating President Trump in the Republican primary. He noted that "that doesn't mean there wouldn't be a path down the road... But right now, I don't see it."

No chit, Cherlock.
It's clear that Kasich is not interested in winning himself, but that he only wants President Trump to lose. Running against President Trump in the primary would be the honorable thing to do if he was interested in furthering what he sees as the conservative cause. However, advancing conservatism has never been his intent. Instead, I predict that Kasich will instead run as a third party candidate to split the Republican vote so that the democrat candidate will beat President Trump. Fortunately, the Never-Trumpers are so bitter and Kasich has exposed himself as being so liberal that President Trump won't lose a meaningful number of votes to him. In fact, his independent run would likely take more votes from the democrat candidate than from President Trump.
Ask Alyssa Milano ...
He knows he cannot win in the crowded democrat primary race to challenge President Trump
I knew it was a good idea for me to send him a gift subscription to Duh Magazine.
This spineless SOM couldn’t win if it were just him running.
Well-organized vote fraud in PA, OH, MI, and FL is that path.
Let's avoid getting too cocky. Vigilance is still necessary. Action is still necessary.
I’ll concede your points; but I am certainly NOT sanguine about this election!
I believe that cheating and massive voter FRaud will characterize this election, and I hope and pray that the Republicans are already organized to fight it!

“Kasich: I Don’t See A Path To Beat Trump Right Now”

While Kasick was playing his games, GM left Lordstown, catching the state by surprise. I don't see anything happening that will reverse that huge hit to the state's manufacturing base. The new Legislature? The Republican leadership of the OH House was a bit of a coup. Dems voted for a liberal-leaning 'pub, who as Speaker is going along with a more freebies for all agenda. Meanwhile, we've got that Medicaid nightmare Kasick gave us by an (illegal?) maneuver. It's eating up a huge portion of the State budget. And that Legislature is promoting things like subsidizing state-subsidized compulsory full day Kindergarten.
My question: What happens when there's a downturn? (there always is at some point). Will OH go the way of CT, with a situation that can't be reversed?
He cant imagine how good that makes me feel.
The last thing I ever want to do is vote Kasich again.
Hes the only one speaking from experience in running against him at the moment. Im sure he has an intense dislike of Trump and would jump in if he saw an opening. My guess is that there will be no serious challenger from the Republicans against Trump unless he suddenly turned off a sizable (20% minimum) chunk of his base. Hes held it through thick and thin and hed really have to try hard to shake his fans at this point.
So much winning yet to be had!
doesn’t see any path “right now” to beating President Trump in the Republican primary.
