The media loves a politician who manages to buy a $15M house on Martha’s Vineyard.
The media has scorn for a public servant who is nearly broke.

How does someone like this last so long in politics? The Democrats have some idiots like this, but they are almost always inner-city mutants representing districts filled with retarded misfits.

He has three primary opponents. The strongest one has had good fundraising numbers but Ive lost all respect for him because of the way he’s treated King. He’s basically piled on King using the same language as Democrats. Now, his opponent has come out criticizing King for his rape and I chest remarks, which makes one wonder where are the principles of his opponent. Even if King would lose the primary, Democrats are not going to be nice to the opponent. That’s not how Democrats operate.

He’s 70. As people get older, they get disinclined to bite their tongues before saying what they really believe. That’s a problem if you have to run for re-election every 2 years. King is right, but he’s hitting an age where his natural inhibitions re what he says in public are starting to fall away. His handler should have kept him away from these kinds of outlets. Unfortunately, he seems not to have a handler.

King supported Son Of Porkulus - the July 2009 $192B additional “stimulus” spending. Also voted yes on making the now-disastrous Patriot Act permanent, voted yes on keeping the Patriot Act roving wiretaps going (and we all know what ended up happening from that,) and on top of that voted NO on keeping foreign arms from China.

He needs to go. Why should he be treated well by his primary opponents with a record like the above?

King’s opponent makes King look ultraconservative. Now the opponent is on record that he does not think that live begins at conception.

So, your choice is to stick with King and lose the seat to a Dem or vote for his challenger and get someone who might not always vote in lockstep with the Dems. Your call.

He is being primaried by a good candidate. His district is a solid (R). Should be able to keep the seat.

We do not know that Kings opponent is any more electable than King. This is a heavily Republican district and electability should not be an issue but the last election, out of state money poured into the district spreading the usual lies about King and he survived, only winning by three percentage points. Where is the evidence that his opponent will have a better fate? Democrats are not going to play nice because they got rid of King. The only polling I know of is the Sec of State electronic state fair poll that showed King with twice as many votes as his closest opponent. King also way outpolled the Democrat. There was a county party poll which was decidedly won by the opponent, so who knows.

By definition he’s more electable. Nobody is donating to King’s campaign and by your own admission his opponent is getting tons and tons of money.

Steve King has always sided with the citizens and the rule of law.

The people who need to be primaried are the Bush League Republicans who support amnesty for illegal aliens.
