[[And I tend to like it medium rare. Not necessarily because of the cancer concerns, but thats just how I like it.]]
yup me too- We used to eat raw hamburger as we were cooking it way back in the day- and the burgers would be drippin myoglobin- but of course ya can’t do that today UNLESS you grind your own burgers out of steaks-
“I hope thiamine isnt dangerous at high levels- they list it as 1800+ % of daily need”
Thiamine, also called B1, in excess is excreted from your body in your urine and sweat.
It is common for those living in places with lots of mosquitoes to take B1 supplements so that the excess B1 shows up in their sweat and on their skin. Mosquitoes don’t like it and will go on to other people who don’t have B1 on their skin.
And I bathe my beef in butter.
While most Keto proponents advocate eating fattier cuts, I eat the leaner cuts and just add butter or coconut oil to add in the fats that I would get with a fattier cut.
[[Could not tell from meat whopper. 100% same taste. The wife could not tell the difference either.]]
I’ve seen al to of people say that- got me curious- will have to pick some burgers up at grocery store-
but I’ve never liked the funky taste of burger king burgers- they just cook it in a way that imparts a funky flavor- so likely their veggie burger will be cooked similar way and have same funk- it’s an acquired taste i suppose-
Tested the Inedible Whopper at a BK with a friend of mine.
We ordered one of the "plant base" and one real. Both without condiments. We then split them and tested. Both of us agreed that the Inedible was just plain odd in terms of taste, texture and mouth-feel.
They did dump a major load of salt on it in an attempt to hide the fact but it was still kind of nasty.
Cajuns must have a lot then- or maybe soemthign else that acts like that they can be sleeveless with 1000’s of mosquitoes around and not be bothered it seems
[[And I bathe my beef in butter.]]
Lol I do too- but I’ve been fortunate- always had a very high metabolism- but still my docs woudl have a heart attack if they knew how i eat- soda and processed breakfast sandwich every morning, soda after brunch- then dinner a steak or pork- every evening, no veggies hardly ever, and another soda- 2 meals a day- and awful meals at that lol
[[as just plain odd in terms of taste, texture and mouth-feel.]]
Tyrus on fox said that too- the others tryign it aroudn him couldn’t tell a difference though- but liek he implied, he probably psyched himself out abotu how it woudl taste- He did say he’d prefer the real thing- which i probably owudl too-
I guess i just gotta break down and try one for myself lol- probably end up beign hte last time i do- but i might be surprised-
Been going downhill for years, pretty much Beyond KFC now..
The Colonel would be rolling in his grave
“Burger Kings fake burger is just a Morningstar Farms Garden Veggie Patty.”
And vegetarian Chinese restaurants have been making fake chicken dishes that taste really good for decades using wheat gluten or mushrooms.
Chikuns n not meet.
There is no health benefit. It is more highly processed junk. Stick to real meat, which is good for you.
Preferably real meat from a Butcher who knows what he’s doing.

How many of the carbs is from the “meat”?
the issue is some folks are prone to intestinal cancer because of medical conditions, from carcinogens from red meat- now, perhaps the veggie burgers have same risk, but I suspect not-
processed doesn’t automatically = unhealthy- mostly it does- but it does contain vegetables and things like beet juice, which is supposed to be very good for people
Do you have al ink showing it has no nutritional value?
There is no “meat”. :)
Oh yuck, I will keep that in mind:)
Hence the quotes.
A fully loaded one would probably not be as odd tasting because all the toppings would have covered it.
You pour enough ketchup on just about anything and it is edible. :)
Also we picked our local BK that is known to make decent burgers. Some BK's you perhaps could not tell the difference because all their burgers are equally nasty.
