I think there will be demonstrations and violence in DC if RBG dies and Trump nominates a replacement. The left is ready to go 100% violent for this cause.
Going with a fake first will only delay the eventual hearing until after the conventions, which will give the Democrats a yuge hammer to hit Trump with during the general election campaign.

I agree with you. In fact, my biggest concern is that they coordinate her retirement gambling on the potential:
1.) Make the SCOTUS a campaign issue for the dems to help beat Trump.
Or...
2.) RBG won’t last another 4 years anyway and they can’t afford for Trump to win in that event.
I think their plan is to wait until late in the 4th year to argue the “it’s too late to appoint a new justice” argument. Imagine the adds Dems would run to scare their base. “They’ll re-legalize Slavery! They’ll put ya’ll back in chains.”
So she will be dead for months before they announce her death in January.
Next session, arguments begin first Monday in October. You will likely win the bet thatshe’s heard her last.
The “Biden” rule relates to a lame duck year.
Of course when the “tards” rammed Obama care down our throat on Christmas Eve, all bets are off.
