The primary matchup between Senator Edward J. Markey and Representative Joseph P. Kennedy III is still hypothetical, but its already getting messy.
An apparent social media blunder by Markeys top campaign hand has angered Kennedy, his team, and supporters just as the 38-year-old Newton Democrat is weighing a challenge to the 73-year-old Markey.
The controversy started late Monday night when a senior adviser to Markeys campaign retweeted a nasty post: @EdMarkey, co-author of the green new deal, is a great Senator. @joekennedy should focus on his familys considerable mental health issues.
Drama on Twitter ensued: A Kennedy supporter called out the top campaign aide, Paul Tencher, for his retweet, and said Markey should apologize, tagging numerous reporters. Tencher quickly apologized: I absolutely take it back. It was a mistake and I never would have said something like this. My apologies. That tweet was despicable and abhorrent.

The Kennedys in politics are like roaches in a house.
Just when you think you’ve gotten rid of them all, here comes another generation............
I guess "Every Sperm is Sacred" in the Kennedy Clan.
I had never known that Rosemary Kennedy suffered a medically induced traumatic birth.
I had assumed that she was rebellious by nature and that this was enough for the Matriarch to have her lobotomized to spare the Kennedy clan further embarrasment.
She could have lived a close to normal life but her last sixty five years passed with her insensate & confined to a convent.
I wonder what the nuns thought of Mother Rose.
Buckeye-please be aware it was another Democrat who said it. When we do something half as bad it goes national.
joekennedy should focus on his family's considerable mental health issues.
That's not despicable, but only if a Democrat does it. The Kennedy family should focus on its history of drunken rapes and such.
I read that as Monkey aide.
I came to read about the talking monkey.
Find it is just democrats throwing things again.
Disappointing.
