On this issue I happen to agree with the author. Epstein was easily the feds most famous prisoner. It’s not Barr’s job to be a warden. However, he should have taken some status briefings on the particulars of Epstein’s confinement and made corrective actions as necessary.

What strikes me as strange is El Chapo, billionaire drug lord, was held at the same facility, MCC. One could speculate that El Chapo had folks that would have loved “suiciding” him. The MCC seemingly ran as a well oiled machine during El Chapo’s stay there.

El Chapo went as far as praising the guards and the US Marshalls. So in a matter of weeks, MCC was suddenly staffed by F Troop. A guy supposedly not even a security guard was put on the Epstein detail. Overworked ? Not following procedures ? Yeah something stinks here Barr. Just exactly what ? Firing some schleprock ain’t the answer.
