Military personnel who are likely to commit suicide do not belong in the military, whether or not they have weapons.
I saw on tv that 27 policemen nationwide were killed in the line of duty last year and that 121 committed suicide. Should we take away guns from the cops too?
So like not having a gun will stop them? How about personal help??
Where do personnel that served 5 tours and have PTSD belong?

So if some police shoots himself, was that ‘necessary ...’.
If not he has broken the law. Can’t lock him up, but how about stopping any retirement or life insurance?

You have hit the nail on the head. I visualized the government confiscating the veterans’ bedsheets, kitchen knives, etc. That’s really make life worth living, right?

About a year ago a VA employee told me that a formal PTSD diagnosis in your VA records will eventually lead to gun confiscation.
She said service members can still get PTSD treatment without a formal diagnosis at Vet Centers.
The only benefit a PTSD diagnosis will give a veteran is being one step closer to monetary compensation for PTSD. So the vet needs to weigh out what’s more important, several more dollars to spend each month, or being able to keep guns for self defense.
It’s so sad America’s veterans, those that risked their lives so lefties can still breath, are the same ones the lefties want to crap on every chance they get.
The ‘study’ is/was for active duty military.
