Two members of the right-wing Proud Boys group were convicted Monday for brawling with leftist antifa members in Manhattan last year.
A jury found John Kinsman and Maxwell Hare guilty of attempted gang assault, attempted assault and riot stemming from the confrontation near the Metropolitan Republican Club following a speech by former Proud Boys leader Gavin McInnes in October 2018.
Both men face up to 15 years in prison and will remain free until their sentencing.
Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance Jr. hailed the convictions as a blow against the rise of extremism and “mob violence.”
“As extremism rises in America, a Manhattan jury has declared in one voice that New Yorkers will not tolerate mob violence in our backyard,” he said in a statement.
Before the 2018 skirmish, about 60 protesters, including members of antifa, massed behind barricades to jeer McInnes’ address.
To avoid a confrontation, cops had the Proud Boys head west on 83rd Street then south on Park Avenue, while they shepherded their opponents in the other direction.
As the Proud Boys approached East 82nd Street, they saw six suspected antifa protesters heading toward them and a brawl erupted.

And Antifa? Well, they were the "victims." No charges. No prison time. Nothing.

Apparently, defending yourselves against masked terrorists is now a crime. No matter what you think of the Proud Boys, there are some important lessons here.

In the indictment, they’re named only as “Spiky Belt,” “Ponytail,” “Shaved Head” and “Khaki” in reference to their appearance in the caught-on-camera melee.
So you can’t face your accusers ? Sounds like a setup. Do they plan to appeal ?
Meanwhile, a black career criminal gets only 10 years in prison for killing a cop.
That’s white privilege for you. White guys get to spend 15 years in prison for altercations involving no serious injuries.

Why on earth would any patriotic group hold a meeting in NYC, or any other Rat infested city? They should gather in red towns where any potential jury pool is favorable.
If I were president, I would’ve awarded them the Medal of Freedom and full pardons within two seconds of their conviction. But that’s just me.

I guess the lesson here is that if you are in a leftist run city or state, if a squad of Antifa attacks you, let them beat or kill you, because if you fight back, you will go to prison.
I also guess that this makes it plain that Antifa is the Sturmabteilung of the Democrat Party.

They’ll be sentence to prison. Sent to the worst facility available, and then killed. By design.
I've never heard of them, but from the two threads I've read on FR, the jury perceived them to be white supremacists?
