President Trump spoke out Sunday on reports his administration has been looking into buying Greenland.
"Essentially its a large real estate deal. A lot of things can be done. Its hurting Denmark very badly because they're losing almost $700 million a year carrying it," he said. "So, they carry it at great loss, and strategically for the United States, it would be nice. And, we're a big ally of Denmark and we help Denmark, and we protect Denmark."
Trump said he may be visiting Greenland in the near future, but claimed the issue was not a top priority for the administration.

I was reading up on Greenland and they have some interesting alcohol laws. For example, no alcohol is available for purchase after 6PM on weekdays. On weekends, the laws are even stricter. No alcohol can be sold after 1PM on Saturdays and not on Sundays at all. Not sure if this is also for bars and restaurants but definitely in stores.
I guess it depends on badly we want to keep the ChiComs outta Greenland.
Well, then if it is only about Demark in the red and buying it makes sense, why does not deporting ALL illegals that suck on our economy make perfect business sense as well Mr President.
No. We dump all the illegals there. Let see how Mexicans and Guatemalans like it there.

Why cant Denmark just print fake money and run up their national debt like the USA does?
I would offer to pay off their national debt and give each of the 50,000 or so people living there $100,000 and instant US citizenship.
I’ve been thinking the deal for Greenland could include some small percentage of the US-owned Greenland’s GDP in perpetuity.
I'll turn in my Grammar Police badge.
USVI was acquired from Denmark about a century ago.
We have been trying to buy it, on and off, since the Andrew Johnson administration. William Seward inquired about it about the time we bought Alaska. President Truman is also known to have inquired.
We bought the Virgin Islands from Denmark in 1917.
