Afghanistan: Bomb rips through wedding in Kabul
An explosion has ripped through a wedding hall in the Afghan capital, Kabul, and many casualties are feared.
Eye witnesses told the BBC a suicide bomber detonated explosives during a wedding ceremony. Witnesses said they had seen bodies. The explosion happened at around 22:40 local time (18.10 GMT) in an area mostly populated by Shia residents. No group said it carried out the attack, which happened in the west of the city.
Sunni Muslim militants, including the Taliban and the Islamic State group, have repeatedly targeted Shia Hazara minorities in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The latest blast comes just 10 days after a huge bomb outside a Kabul police station killed at least 14 people and injured nearly 150. The Taliban said it carried out that attack.

we left afghanistan, and al-qaeda germinated, grew, and has killed thousands—including those who perished in 9/11.
we stay in afghanistan without establishing a strongman, and we fight a war of attrition.
we establish a strong man, the internal politics of America and the inevitable (?) collapse of that man feeds into a future terror.
my best thought now is that the THIRD option—a strong man (like the Shah or Sadat or Mubarak) who is friendly to the West is what is needed for stability. He must be merciless to the terrorists. Yet, we also need a true Christian awakening in that part of the world.
The gospel is REALLY what changes lives. And those Muslims in Afghanistan are created in God’s image. They need His redemption of the cross of Jesus just as much as I need it!
Before we sit down with the Taliban they need to stop bombing innocent people..

In retrospect, maybe we should’ve convinced the USSR to stay in Trashkanistan. “Can we get you anything, comrades? A little vodka? Some fuel for your helicopters. Oh, wait. Already asked you if you wanted some vodka.”
Get rid of the entire population, nuke poppy fields and stip it of resources.

Well, there are Pashtuns who claim they’re the lost tribe of Ephraim. But whatever they are, the Taliban faction is extremely down on Hazari, who are descended from the Monguls, and they are shockingly cruel to them.
