I NEVER liked Roseanne Barr until she got on youtube. She is actually down to earth logical thinking lady. She can think for herself which is why the left hate her.

Couldn’t rule it out I suppose. The word hashish is connected to the word “assassin” by the Asasyun (sp) tribe who smoked it before their tasks. And the evidence in the article linking psychosis is real enough.

More likely imo it is other drugs - if you take harder drugs you probably also smoke weed. But, since we know that these mood altering drugs can cause homicidal rage there is no way to state categorically that weed won’t do the same. Again if it has severe adverse effects on just 0.01% of people who take it, that’s a very low percentage - but if 30 million people take it that’s 3000 people who will break.

It certainly *is* a psychiatric issue. Meds may,or may not,be involved.

"psychosis, paranoia and schizophrenia"

That is related to excessive adrenaline and dopamine from a hyper active adrenal gland. The adrenal gland activity can be reduced with the use of high levels of Niacin and vitamin C. Even with the worst cases of schizophrenia. Look up Dr Hoffer for more on this.

“I would guess it has to do with medical privacy.”

At this point, it probably does.
Perhaps we need to toss out any concern for the shooter’s privacy when the he is as dead as the victims whose privacy he invaded by murdering them.

Trump needs an EO to investigate whether mass shootings and marijuana addiction are related. Marijuana use is a major factor in causing psychosis, paranoia and schizophrenia.

I am hearing that from more and more credible sources. Thinking out loud, do you think this is the reason the Commie left has been pushing so hard for legalization? Is there something sinister behind the growing potency of marijuana over the years? Lulling us into comfort that it's not a bad recreational drug, then ramp up the potency with a resulting rash of mass murders? Then gun control as a result. Is THAT why they seem to be joined at the hip with open borders, making life easy on the cartels who are their suppliers? Hate to float a conspiracy theory, but absolutely NOTHING surprises me about the Commie Rats. They have been working in this direction for 60+ years.

Your good name is a luxury borne on and sustained by the vulgarities of barbarians. Gratitude, even emulation is in order, not disparagement.

Keep your eye on the doughnut, not the hole.

But we both know, far too many will see the hole, and ignore the doughnut. Just as they attack the messenger when they cannot intelligently attack the message. Therefore, make the message count and make the messenger seem invisible to those you wish to receive the message.

I read an article which indicated that 27 out of the last 28 mass murderers came from a broken home where no father was present. I don’t know if that is true or not, but it also seems logical along with the psychotropic drugs angle. Guns have ALWAYS been available, and even semi-autos like the AR and AK for the past 50+ years, but the massacres are concentrated into the past 20. The natural question is: “WHY!” Once we find that answer (or several that exist in 75% of the cases), then we can begin to actually address the problem(s). This knee-jerk reaction to restrict the rights of actual or potential gun owners who have done nothing wrong at all is unacceptable and only serves the interest of those who would tyrannize our entire society.

I don't know if it is true either, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is a strong correlation. But I bet fatherless home life is also correlated to drug use (illicit drugs and/or prescription psychotropics). Often we hear the drugs are used to solve discipline issues with young men, and we hear the term "self medicating" which is a little ironic in how that phrase seems to be an endorsement for medicating psychological problems in general.

I'd be inclined to say (without a lot of hard evidence to point to at the moment) that there is no single risk factor, except that we know drug use can cause psychosis.

If I remember correctly when you buy a weapon and fill out the form you have to declare if you use illegal drugs. If you say yes you are disqualified and denied the transfer. What would those on the left say if it was proposed "do you take SSRIs" to the form?

I agree with this philosophy. The trouble is we are now in a cult of personality culture, wherein people earn what they call 'social equity', which elevates the persona above the product. We see this everywhere - high priced endorsements to celebrities, 'social influencers', even people who have no background in a field jump right in eg. Lady Gaga or Jessica Alba skin care. It's in politics where a "Spartacus moment" gets you on the main stage in the debates, and the more outrageous comments get 'retweeted' 'virally'.

Saw a clip from the TV where someone said that in 2016 the GOP had 16 establishment candidates and one disruptor, and for 2020 the Democrats have 19 disruptors and one establishment candidate. It resonated with me.

Oh, good grief ... touchy, touchy. I’m just getting tired of every lefty crackpot’s statement being recorded here at FR. All it does is give them a “forum” for moving their whacko views forward, and telling them we will notice it and react to it. The best thing we can do is IGNORE them! Post what you like, but I consider it political pollution.
